I was at the shop about to buy a set of Mickey Thompson Classics with 0 offset. It turns out that 0 offset wheels rub on the calipers, so the guy said that I needed to run the -22 offset ones. Do all 0 offset wheels not fit, or is this issue specific to Mickey Thompson wheels?

Also, can I get pics of anyone who's running -22 offset? I want to see how much they stick out the fenders.

MT's are known for hitting the caliper in certain backspacings.

And we need to know how wide the wheel is to tell you how far -22 offset will stick out.

Yeah I read that one. They're talking about 2nd gens, but I had originally posted this in the 1st gen forums.

I guess what I'm asking is if all 0 offset wheels won't fit. That's what the guy said, but I'm pretty sure many of us are running 0 offset wheels

That's not even close to right.

So how wide are the rims with the -22 backspacing. And what size tires are you wanting to run?

So the -22s would be approx 3.75" backspacing. You should be good to go with that since stock backspacing for first gens is 4.5".

That depends how wide your stock wheels are. Not sure if the 15s are 6" wide or 7.

If they are 7" wide, the new wheels will stick out 1.75" more than stock.
