I've got the Iphone4 as of now and seems to work pretty good except for the home button. i went to at&t yesterday to pay my bill and started talking to the manager he said they were coming out with some new premium droid phones that i should look at. HTC Holiday, Nexus Prime and the Galaxy S2 which is already out but the first two aren't. where i live at reception is a big deal for me and i know some phones get better reception then others, anyone know about recep. issues with Samsung or HTC or pro's and con's for both manufacts?

Reception all depends on the service provider and not the phone in most cases, do not base your phone purchase off reception quality.

You may be right, but there were probably other factors at work. You won't be able to go into a store and say, "Which one of these gets better service?" It just doesn't work that way. Pick the phone you like, get it, and the service is subpar, talk to your carrier about it.

As far as going over to DROID, I wouldn't recommend it. I used one for about 6 months and hated it. Battery life sucked, hardware was shit, etc...

If your home button isn't working on your iPhone, ask Apple about the warranty (depending on how old it is), get it fixed at an Apple store or look at getting a new one.

Hardware issues are rare on Apple products (statistically), so I wouldn't just jump ship from Apple because your home button stopped working on your iPhone.

    That's just my opinion.

I have found that after a year my droid and my wifes droid began to become unstable (similar to any windows operating system). We both had Virus protection. I think theres not enough oversight when it comes to app developers on the android system, i think these bad apps sometimes and somehow effect the phone.

Even though I am an Apple guy, I have heard that this has gotten better in the latest version of the DROID software.

However, I have had multiple Apple products for over 3 years and never had any software issues at all (except with Microsoft Office for Mac, ironically).

I like DROID way better then I phone. If u spend the money for the extended batteries you'll always get two days use out of it. You'll hardly notice the little bit further the battery cover bumps out. They arnt like the old ones.

My reception and battery life are much better after rooting and throwing a basic rom on there that takes off all the software that I never used. Way faster too. This also gives u the ability to easily back-up and restore from back-ups if u have a problem.

I have concluded that if u want something slightly more stable and basic iphone is prolly for you. If u like to customize and like to mod ur phone up, DROID. U can tell I love mine! I've had the moto x and now the x2.

The anti-virus is probably causing your issue. It isn't needed. Many people run task-killers on Android phones with software 2.2 and later, it is also unnecessary and causes the phone to become unstable. My Droid Incredible is 18-months old and still runs like it did out of the box.

i think Fink kinda said this. but i agree talk to apple about the phone not at&t. from people i know that have had iphone on at&t say the at&t hates working on the iphone and they give you all kinds of BS. now they may not do that anymore. but thats what friends have told me.

I have used iPhone since they first came out. I'm huge Apple fan boy to say the least. About a year ago I bought an Android phone to try to save some money, switched carriers and have never looked back. I still have my older 3 iPhones that I now use as iPods and would never consider going back to them (in part because they are all AT&T).

Most of my friends have iPhones and the only thing I would like is the camera on the iPhone, it is very nice and probably the best one in a cell phone.

I have an Optimus V from LG which is a fairly basic phone but it does everything I want, even turn by turn GPS navigation w/ voice instructions. The Google online environment is very impressive and is integrated into all Android phones. I couldn't be happier, especially since I pay $40 a month for 1200 min unlimited text and data which is well below half of any of my iPhones. I even have WiFi hotspot for my MacBook Air or iPad while traveling at no cost.

My work phone is is a Motorola Droid X and performance wise, it is equal to the iPhone or better even. Hopefully they change the policy at work and instead of providing a phone and service they will subsidize your existing phone and service.

My advice is to borrow a phone from the carries, around here they will lend one out with your CC number. Go where you want to go and see how your service is using both the phone and carrier you are considering. Take a look at them.

These don't bother me so much, it's the fact that 1/3 times I try to run AutoUpdate, the damn thing locks up. Everything that Apple put on the computer from the beginning has worked with zero issues.

These are good points to take into consideration.

I've never had to deal with them on a hardware issue with an Apple product, but it is always best to go straight to Apple with the issue. If they decide it is best for you to take it up with AT&T first, then so be it.

In the end, AT&T is going to be more willing to help if you have proof that Apple sent you to them with a specific issue; versus you just going to them on your own.
