wow man...well, the truck has gone through the morning mist/fog in this area... no problems... light rain as well, no problems... and we'll see tmr when it rains!.. but should be no problem

oooo.. nice nice!! well with the one 50w ballast i had and the 5k bulb.. one headlight was freakin bright...actually i did post a pic of it in the earlier posts..hehe.

the rear of your housing is much cleaner than mine was. the dopey bastard at bf customs used electrical tape on the headlights! that and butyl rubber! not jb weld mind you butyl rubber and electrical tape i wish i had a picture of it it was fucking classic.

yours are going to be fine dude i seriously doubt you will have moisture problems.

when you get them both fired up go to a dark parking lot if you can find one and flick them on i did that and i almost shit lol! mine lit up what would have been a 7 lane highway straight across with bright actually useable light. toyota projectors ftw!

Must find a big dark parking lot! or i should just head to the mountains/canyons! Theres a pretty close canyon i take my bike to and a big ass open spot to park and chill before taking the curves..

I thought the 'lighting up 7 lanes' came from the LS430 projectors... Which, by the way, are only low beams. Regardless if the LS460 light up 7 lanes, the output on 1 is just amazing!! trying to imagine with both fully functioned!

the 430's are just a hair wider of a beam because they hold no light in reserve for a high beam. the

ls 460 on the other hand has a massive reflector below the lens so on top of having the best reflector bowl of any bi xenon they also have the best cut-off imho meaning that for a projector to have such a wide beam it has to have a curved cut off shield and no other bi-xenon does it better. there are only a few that can come close. so on top of all that that reflector below the lens is also throwing light out to the sides so in effect the light that a normal bi xenon projector would reserve for a high beam and never seen until the high beam is activated is actually used in the 460 to reserve light below the main optic but, to throw light wide and low.

read up about them they truly are special and unique.

just a hint of how wide the beam actually can get check out jvx drivers projector comparison he performs the test methodically look into the ls430 page and check out how big the beam is lol.

now retrofitting that projector into a reflector designed to house a halogen bulb the projector may be sitting to far back in the reflector bowl so you may lose a tad bit of width there as well but if you just had one hooked up to a power source and sat it on a flat surface like in jvx drivers test it's astonishing just how wide and even the light is. you almost have to wonder why more projectors are not designed this way.

 

ahhhhhhhh thats all i seee.. must wait to get home to see the comparisons and what not.... why dont they just make these projectors or something simliar factory with all vehicles....haha

 

Well, my ballast came in.....but not the bulb they shipped it separately... so i have to wait again and drive with no headlights

btw what are you going to be running with those 460's 50 watt or 35 watt bulb temp and stuff? sorry if i missed it in an earlier post.

 

yea, they shipped the ballast on time.. i think they just forgot about the bulb.. or had to wait for it to come in...iono... not tooo tooo too worried... i have my fog lights and my moto if anything

ill be running 50w morimoto and 5k bulbs.

 

nice i stepped up to the HD wiring harness and the 5k 50w bulbs and ballast myself to squeeze all i can out of the modded fx-r's.

i went with that mcr shroud i'm a little worried about how they are gonna look.

 

dang it.. gotta wait till when it gets dark to aim it more.....

Im measuring the vertical and the horizontal based off the hot spot and taped it.
