middle of the road lift

after reading a bit... is a good midddle of the road (price vs quality/function) 3" lift, good idea to go with 5100's front and AAL back? if so whats a good package? something form toyatech? i think i'm going to keep sotck size wheels but if not what size can i go with? 33's? and with the 5100's does that only leave me with 1" down movement? is that enough for a compfortable ride? i have an 09 long bed trd sport dc 4x4

 

5100's will be a great lift for you if your not looking for anything extreme. I believe with the bilstein's they have more then 1" down travel because they are made for a lift. go with the AAL its better then blocks and safer. if you go with the 33" tire you may have rubbing problems on the upper control arms if you dont get some Spidertrax wheel spacers. Some people say that the 5100" set at 2.5" with the stock springs will ride harsh so you may want to look into a set of OME 885 springs to go with the 5100's this will give you the lift and be able to leave the shocks set at the lowest height for a better ride.

OME is really good stuff, and only a tad more expensive...

so form toyatec what i need is OME 885, Rear AALs and 5100's

if you get them 799 dollar 5100s with the coil over i'm assuming this eliminates the need of 885s? and for the rear, do i need new shocks there too or jsut the AALs?

or is that ultimate package the best to go with? im trying to keep it cheaper.

 

If you go with the ultimate package you wont regret it, just save the money instead of buying all misc parts with that package you wont need anything else well some uca's but thats it.

 

alright cool...so what i am to do now is to save up for that package and wait until my canadian dollar is worth more then your dollar again

also whats the cheapest way of lifting 3"? blocks in back and what up front? can it be done with no shock change at all?

 

what about this leveling out idea? in the front? basically a spacer is it?
