easy hook up navigation

does anyone know of a built in touch navigation(with cd and all that) that hooks up to the stock 08 wiring?

 

Any head unit you buy should come with a wiring harness that will plug into the stock wiring and into the head unit- I don't know of any direct connection head units tho.

They are pretty easy to do as long as you buy from a reputable source.

 

I THINK the Eclipse AV6620 does but I am not positive.

 

Eclipse radios are plug and play...

but you still have to run a nav antenna and connect VSS wire, etc. but at least the harness plugs right into the radio.

 

its not hard to splice the wires together but would be easier to just plug in the 6620, I'm just not a big fan of the dvd base nav on the 6620, but do have experiance with Eclipse HU's, they are great.

 

Eclipse Nav is gross... that's the only problem with the Eclipse units.

 

haha there is no denying that eclipse nav is clunky and looks like crap

 

get a kenwood...Garmin based Nav...the real stuff. ebay 600. for dnx5120

yup... garmin based so you know it looks good...

 

IMO, somewhat true about the GUI, however the unit itself looks quite nice. blends very well with the rest of the interior.


So far I've been happy with this HU, but not blown away.

 

i have to agree i just bought the Kenwood DNX5120 your not only getting a killer touch screen double din but you get the Garmin Nav which is way better than any CD based NAV..... plus every year you can get all the updated POI's........
