Here's how it's sitting for now...

And here's some damage from where the cv hit the leaf spring mount and skid plate on the gas tank. The gouge in the skid plate is probably almost a quarter inch thick. Took a pretty good chunk out of the leaf spring mount as well.

Well, found out the other day that my frame is bent, and it knocked the whole steering component out of place. So to get that all fixed is probably going to be more than the truck is worth.... It looks like I'm back to possibly getting something else now... I really just want my truck back, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Who cares about the bent frame! Drive her!!

Pull a rack and pinion out of a junkyard truck..just make sure if it was in an accident, it was hit in the rear..
Usually the racks are still good.

    or buy a new one!

Found this, seems a little steep in price though. But since it would mean having my truck back, I'm willing to bet that my parents would pay nearly that much for it. Because honestly every time I come home and see my truck in the yard it makes me sick, and they've noticed how much I hate it.

Was going through the pictures on my phone and found this one, I took this about 10-15 minutes before I wrecked... I can honestly say I've never been so attatched to something in my life. This was my only thing I had other than school and work. I don't hang out with people much, so what I would do is work on my truck. It was like a part of me, and now it's like I lost a close friend or something...

Haha yeah I'm the same way... I found a tacoma like mine, but they want $6000 for it. Read previous post. I'm betting I could get them down to $5000 if I offer to bring my own wheels and tires to drive it home if I bought it.

Well my dad made an appointment at a body shop to get my frame checked. So apparently he now wants to try to get mine fixed now. This is really just starting to get annoying.

Haha sorry, there's still no guarantee that it can be fixed though.

I'm trying not to get to excited though, the body shop said that tacoma's frames are hard to straighten because of their rigidity. Then again this could just be some bullshit...

The guy from the body shop called earlier, saying that the were able to figure out where the frame is bent. They just needed a new left axle to line everything up correctly, and they also are going to fix everything on the front end for us as well while it's there. I went and bought a new axle, and they also needed a new inncer cv seal. I had to go to about 6-7 stores before I gave up and went to the Toyota dealership, and they had them for only about $10. Brought all of it back to the body shop, and the guy said he'd figure it all up and give us the quote on how much it's going to cost. So hopefully in 1-3 weeks, if everything goes right, my truck will be back on the road!

The guy called today and said that he had to order a new steering rack, because the old one was twisted and nothing lined up whatsoever... I figured it would need to be replaced, but hopefully it won't cause it to take any longer to finish.

Hoping to get it back this week. The wait is killing me! I'm thinking about calling up there or stopping by to see what has been done and what all is left to be done.

Nah, probably bedline the bottom quarter of my truck first because the paint on the bottom part of the driver side fender got knocked off when I wrecked. Then when I turn 18, I'm going to get a loan to buy an elite bumper. And while that's being built, I'm going to put eibach coils and 5100's up front so my tires won't rub so much.
