So ive been looking into getting a roof Rack for the truck and ive seen some pretty good ones out there, but ive never really liked how they mounted, and i dont really like the load capacity of the OEM one either.

I contacted Baja Racks since ive liked their design, I asked them if they would have a rack that mounts directly to the factory spots of the OEM. This was their response.

    Thank you for contacting BajaRack!

Well, we are just now launching this new rack and should have one available in a week or less. Here is some info about it:

    BR-TYTCM-1-0: Bolt-on basket Bajarack for Toyota Tacoma double cab, 60”L x 48”W x 5”, 42 lbs, $575.00.

Does the rails really sit like that on what looks like the sheet metal of the roof? If so, there needs to be a serious re-design...

I'd think prolly not. There are no mounting nuts on the AC roof like on the DBLs. Believe me I've looked on mine hoping their were. I was gonna fab up my own rack until I saw no easy way to mount.

I was looking at this same rack. I don't like the one that uses the toyota system. It sits up to high and I cant stand the look of the toyota rails.

I been looking around too. If you have a naked roof its not to bad in price but not great, should at least throw in free shipping. The other way you would have to buy rail system+the basket which can be around 600-700 too. They are pricey on there light bar attachment too. I might be interested in a group by too! If the price is good!
