    Sushi! Three big rolls, various combos of yellowfin tuna, krab, avocado, cucumber and a couple different sauces I make. I'm in no way an expert, just a hobby sushi maker. Still, friends are always impressed when I tell them I make it myself. :D

    LOL, right after I got out of college I had mucho bills and no money because I was making no money at my in-school job at Wal-Mart. I distinctly remember eating for days off of a bag of flour, a bottle of oil and some salt by making chewy tortillas. :D They were awesome when they were warm from the griddle with some PB spread on them. I think I was spending about $0.75/day on food at that point...

    haha thats exactly why I made them. cheap and I had all of the stuff. my mix has a little more stuff in it but basically the same Made some quick spanish soup. I dinner was like $2.00 I couldn't find the PB

    Meh, I grew up poor. College was a nice reprieve since I had a lot of scholarships but post-college was poor-again time for a while. :D Doin' alright now, and it's nice to know I have the skills to get through it if it ever gets rough again (knock on wood!).

    thats why you go to culinary school. meals for me consisted of lamb, lobster, prime rib, duck. as much seafood as possible( So close to the water we actually walked to the wharf and got some urchins and had a snack. And gave me the skills I need to make great non expensive meals later. and my two years counts towards a bachelors in my field.

    ^^^ Thats a good one... did you go to culinary school in Canada??? I went in San Diego, CA. The school has since closed but still fun.... didnt learn too much I didnt already know but still an experience.

    Starting off a little tough makes it easier when you are on your own. If you have to work hard in the beginning and didnt have everything handed to you it teaches you to make it in life.

    That looks so effing good....

    I thought my college meals were bad...velveeta mac and cheese with a can of hormel no bean chili dumped in. I must've have been living the high life though, I was probably spending $3 a day for food, total lap of luxury:rolleyes:.
