i understand that lol im saying why isnt all narcotics illegal then? what about alcohol that kills people multiple ways and the millions that are affected by tobacco and its many forms. i say include it with them or nothing. im not against you i KNOW pot is illegal and im not saying people should just go smoke whenever they want im just saying i think it should be the same as alcohol and tobacco. Dont be so closed minded and think im against you in every way lol i think your a great guy im just saying i wish they would include it on the list with alcohol and tobacco and regulate it so the people that choose to do it can but in a regulated way.

    Dont be mean!

It is ridiculous that cigarettes and tobacco products are legal and marijuana is not.

There are more cases of death, disease, and many more far reaching issues surrounding the tobacco industry than weed.

I know many, many, very active people (including personal trainers) who smoke weed on daily basis. I've personally blazed with 3 CEO's of major oil and gas companies.

The is pot good vs. bad debate can continue forever. Anything to an extreme can harm you, kill you, make you hallucinate, and otherwise cause you permanent damage.

Tobacco products are preceded only by heroin and freebase cocaine in terms of permanent damage, addictive qualities, and mortality rate.

Weed is illegal in North America, period, Phelps "broke" the law (as mentioned before, there's no evidence he wasn't smoking shisha or tobacco out of that bong). I break the law every day that i smoke weed (which is almost everyday). I have an important "white collar" job, i deal with billion dollar clients, i exercise every day, i eat right, recently i quit drinking, i have an active and satisfying sex life (for both of us), and i have no health problems. So no, like 90% of pot smokers, i don't fit the profile of a burnout stoner. I like to smoke weed at the end of the day, it helps me relax, it makes me appreciate the moment i'm in more, and it helps alleviate my stress and sleep well. Since i started smoking pot (last summer), my life has improved drastically. Is it all because of weed? Of course not.

When i smoked cigarettes, however - i smoked and stank, i didn't concentrate at work or in meetings, i had no capacity for exercise, i was severely overweight, i had about 50% of the sex drive i have now, i was constantly nauseous, i would drink and smoke tons when i combined the 2, i ate very little and when i did eat i ate crap, and i believe there was a little part of me that hated myself and that's why i did something that was so vile and would've eventually killed me. Cigs are $10 a pack here (or were when i still smoked) and i smoked about 3/4 a pack a day for 5 years. so the total cost was around $14,000. It would take me 30 years to spend the same amount of money on pot at the rate i smoke now.

If i ever had kids, and they came home with pot, i'd explain the dangers (driving, doing important activities, etc) and encourage them to enjoy it responsibly. If they came home with any tobacco products, it'd be a month of grounding and brainwashing the dangers out of them.

So argue all you want and cite all the "facts" you want on either side of the debate. But just like this post, the war on pot is a gigantic waste of time. Legalize it, educate the public about the dangers and encourage enjoying it responsibly, and tax it. It's a vice, it's not perfect, but compared with gambling, alcohol, and tobacco; it's the only choice that isn't addictive and won't kill you.

I can only go from my own personal experience in regard to pot vs. tobacco. And in my experience, pot is BETTER for me.

All the reports aside, all substances effect people differently. we all have a friend who can drink a dozen beer and be fine. and we all have that friend who gets trashed on 2 drinks. Studies are flawed when the controls are human beings, each with individual biological makeup, and ANY report about ANYTHING can be twisted to serve arguments of any type.

And the long term health effects of sustained marijuana use are still not verified.

all i know is smoke+lungs=not as good as fresh air+lungs (like when your offroading in your tacomas!) but ppl choose these things because it makes them feel better at that time. I love the fact that people can choose to do what they want to do, i just think that marijuana should be included on that list legally

Agreed. Something on fire inside you is not the best idea. Vaporizers cool the smoke and remove the bad elements. Bongs cool smoke and reduce the negative effects of the hot air in your lungs.

You can eat pot using butter as a delivery agent. that would kill all the negative smoking effects (and easy for transport). but it gets you super high!

Good for you! the power of choice is a beautiful thing. just out of curiousity what supplements do you use, though that should be a different thread so as not to get off topic, i'll do a search and/or start one.

i would be willing to use myself as a study. I've been back at the gym for 4 weeks as of today. here are some stats:

    At Start:

    Weight - 220
Average daily caloric intake - 3000
Average daily caloric output - 2600 (i wonder how i got fat again lol)
    Bench Press - 60 pounds (don't laugh)
    Squat - 150
Wide grip pulldown - 50 pounds

    4 weeks:

    Weight - 210
Average daily caloric intake - 2600
Average daily caloric output - 3500
    Bench press - 90 pounds
    Squat - 190
Wide grip pulldown - 90 pounds

I have smoked weed every day except for 4 days in those 4 weeks. My original goal was a weight of 185 by June 30th, at this rate, i'll hit that by mid May.

So is weed a performance enhancing drug? Of course not. But it is certainly not the opposite either. I only smoke weed at the end of the day, after supper and before bed. If i smoked before gym time would it slow me down? Maybe, but i'm not about to find out.

I would disagree to an extent, science hasn't proven any long term effects, however marijuana has been on this earth for 1000's of years, smoking marijuana can be traced back long before Christ. Marijuana grows wild in all equatorial regions of the globe, there are many long term users out there, science just hasn't studied them.

I often smoke before and during bike rides. I love pedaling, ultimate freedom IMO. Marijuana and riding for me work very well, it allows me to concentrate better on my breathing and rhythm, and allows me to push myself harder. Marijuana might not be for everyone, but it works for me. I don't drink at all, and usually only smoke a couple times a day, after dinner before bed. I vape before riding.

Mr Wiggles, use olive oil to cook pot with, not butter. Works much better and the taste is easier to hide!

Of course that's how i've done it.

My point was it is possible to improve health, vitality, strength, and lifestyle while being a regular pot smoker.
