Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I don't see the correlation between AGW and Creationism. I don't believe in either.

It is a wonder to me. The 2d half of the 2d millenium was dominated by science overcoming the superstitions and false beliefs of the church, from 'the earth is flat and the idea that the sun and the rest of the universe revolves around the Earth, to the discoveries of Copernicus and Gallileo, Darwin, Watson, and Crick.

Yet still the morons and know nothings of the church and their sheep continue to stick their collective head in the sand and battle against science to promote their own special religious brand of ignorance. They fought Pasteur and Jenner and Lister, and they are still fighting their losing battle against the truth and science, still championing their imaginary friend and old superstitions. It is truly pathetic.

If these people had their way, we would not have our Tacomas. Not only would the internal combustion engine have been branded the work of the devil, the science that made it possible would have been suppressed.

We would be getting around by horse drawn carriages and sail power, afraid of falling off the 'edge' of the Earth.

One can believe in both without much effort, only an open mind is needed.

You underestimate the ability of modern humans to remain ostensibly closed-minded -- especially when faced with concepts that contradict their own. :D

For what it's worth, I agree with you, though.

Belief has necessarily nothing nothing to do with reality.

Believing something to be true is not an argument for the belief.

I'm not sure what there is to discuss? Your statement makes it seem like your kids were forced to watch midget p*rn (can't type the real word because my work email filters it out)

I believe in God 100% and I am absolutely positive that He created the world and every thing in it...that being said, I don't take everything in the Bible literally. The Bible is full of stories that maybe did not necessarily happen, but were told to explain a concept that God was trying to get across to his people.

For example, the Bible says God created the heavens and the earth in 6 days. Does this mean everything came about in 144 hours??? Of course not. It is proven that the earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old. Therefore the Christians that believe that God's time is on par with human's are incredibly niave.

Last thing. I do believe that animals and plants have evolved over time to adapt and survive, excluding humans. Species evolve to survive, so why would we evolve to use reason and to make choices that are not related to our ultimate survival. Do I believe humans have evolved over time? Yes. Do I belive we evolved from apes? Absolutely not. Because in my opinion the only reason for us to evolve from apes would have been that apes were in danger of becoming extinct so they evolved into humans...if that's the case, apes would not be here...

oh yes they are learning. Learning the false truths that the secular world teaches makes no sense and has flaws.

Funny, when I ask people to explain themselves, I get nothing. But I will definately oblige.

You definately know my stance, so you inserted an extremely absurd comparison to distract from a simple statement I made, to try and support your views.......with a negative shock factor........while one is legal, the other is not.....this negative shock is done quite often in this thread. It's the best and easiest defense for most.

Since evolution is a theory according to science's defintion of 'proof'.....then let creation have an opportunity in the classroom.

.....and my pot was getting crusty around the edge and needed stirred:stirthepot:....and...bump...again.:D

It has not been 'proven' according to the definition of 'proof' by science.

If Genesis(the foundation of the Bible) is not literally true, then the rest of the Bible isn't either. If you truly believe in God, then don't limit Him.
