Tire/Wheel balancing issues

Hey guys! I need help before I pull the trigger on my Taco and go to another brand of trucks! I have 2010 Tacoma that I lifted 2" and put a set of 285/70/17 Terra Grappler Nittos on XD Diesel wheels. I have had this truck at different tire shops and have tried everything, including road force balancing, to get them balanced out without any luck. I had a 06'Tacoma that I tried to put after market wheels and tires on and the same issue and ended up going back to stock wheels and tires. Bought this latest truck new and BOOM, same friggin' issue. Need help guys or I am rollin' on up to a GMC/Frord dealer soon! I'm about done with this crap!!!!!!!

not sure how the truck would be to blame for the wheels not balancing...

maybe the wheels are irregulars?

maybe the 2" lift was installed wrong?

maybe the lift is a cheap top mount spacer?

when they put the wheels and tires on the balance machine, does it show that they are balanced, but when you drive on them, they don't feel balanced?

if so, maybe double check the suspension... i recall someone having what seemed like a balance issue but after tearing the front end apart, discovered it was a blown front shock that was making his front passenger wheel bounce around like a big booty stripper...

Do you need a diff drop?
carrier bearing spacer?

Blaming toyota for aftermarket mods done to a truck might be the wrong way to look at the situation.

Let us know what suspension you have.

Thats a big tire for a 2'' lift, be careful with rubbing.

 

oh that's right... carrier bearing...

if that is off because of the lift, it will vibrate enough to make you think your truck is falling apart...

 

2' Toytec in front, 1" in the back. Installed at the dealership by a master mechanic who owns 77 Toyota trucks! (He owns a huge rock crawling/mud park and builds Toyota trucks for that purpose in his off time. Got a topper on the back, needed the 1" on the back to level it back out. Not a carrier bearing issue. Already had that checked. But they did find a bad u joint. When I bought the truck new off the lot, I had the mod's done at the dealer. They TOLD me my warranty would not be effected....BIG LIE! Took the truck in for the vibrating issue, Toyota now says that the mods were done at the dealer, my warranty is void, at 29,000 miles. So thats another reason to go Ford/GMC. But, I am faithful! Love my Toyota, but it ain't lovin' me back. Going to try the airsoft to see what happens.

 

are the wheels hub-centric? if not, did you/they use hub-centric rings?
