    Not bashing your beliefs, but I don't see how faith plays any factor in whether creationism is a legitimate scientific theory or not.

    missing link to what? Where is any proof of creationism? Where is any PROOF of any religion for that fact? A book written by those who wanted people to believe what they believed is not proof.

    Religion is based on faith. IIRC the op said which do you believe, not which one of these has proof or which one is factual...We shouldn't bash each other for this or that. Just state what you believe and leave it at that...

    Well it's basically theory vs theory, one that the world was created by a omnipotent being, the other that we evolved to become what we are today. Evolution and creationism can't mesh together with christianity because god created man according to the bible. To the topic of whether it should be in schools or not, as hoosier so wonderfully trolled to this topic, do you think it should be taught alongside something with more scientific evidence?

    Im sorry. I dont know what youre asking:eek: If it is should creationism be taught in school over evolutionism, well no. Like you said they are both theories...so I feel that they should both be touched on in school and be presented as theories and not be shoved down the throats of students. More and more kids stop making choices for themselves based on what is thrown at them in school. Both evolutionism and creationism should be touched on in schools and presented as theories and leave it at that. No teacher should push one or the other. Then in college you can take whatever you want and decide for yourself what you believe. Just my opinion tho....

    How about the whole Ancient Astronauts theory? Evolution is factual and would exist whether mankind was here or not, but aliens creating mankind? If the organized religions can push their theology, then this theory deserves some time to shine too.

    Agreed with that, which is probably why in my high school we never dwelled much on either topic. I took World Religions and a few other required courses in college, but none really touched on creationism.

    That's why I think it won't ever be introduced...it caters too much to a specific denomination while evolution is pretty unbiased (besides the fact that it disproves some religions).
