I think it's less the camera and more of the fact that he's using HDR which (in my most basic understanding of it) is the camera taking 3 differing contrast photos and then combining them together. Pretty awesome result though :D

been on this forum for a while, never really showed my truck off. had to sell the truck a few months back. been stationed overseas since july '10. sold the truck because the payment and insurance were draggin' me down. it was hard lettin' her go, but i had to. bought it in '06, used. owned a '99 tacoma and this '05. loved them both. hope to purchase another tacoma within the next year or so, once i get stationed stateside again.

haha, it was the biggest wiring mystery i have ever tackled. i got it to light up, but that's just about it. the gauge to the far right (inclinometer) worked freely. it's the exact same thing as a plane/float level. the middle gauge (temperature) and the far left gauge (compass), i could never figure out the wiring. 6shooter from TN, who works at a dealership, got it to work completely. it took him many trial and errors. i stared at wiring diagrams forever. i don't remember exactly, but there were wiring conflicts. the tacoma would have 2 wires for the compass and the gauge pod would only have one. the tacoma would have 1 wire for the temp sensor and the gauge pod would have 2 that led to a converter.... blah blah blah. i tried contacting 6shooter, but he couldn't remember the exact wiring. i tried tackling this project about a year after he did it. by then he had sold his truck. he never did a write-up either. maybe one day i'll tackle this project again when i get another tacoma.

it is what it is. i didn't want to at all, but i have a huge chunk of money saved up for another one. won't be able to purchase another tacoma for a year or so. just more time to save for the truck and mods. goin all out on the mods next time around.
