    Look at build!

should be fine for a temporary thing...just fix whatever is wrong with your normal tire as soon as you can...this is the reason that nxt time i buy tires im gonna buy a fullsize spare with it:cool:

    Did alot today!

Now I am college student with a tight budget, so I am a firm believer in DIY mods and work if possible. So with that in mind:

Bought a grease gun and Mobil 1 grease from autozone. After having to return the gun due to defective threading on the head, I was set to go.

    IMG_7164_1_ff47a5e1fe2ae515869152673968fe38484116af.jpg

Now I found 8 zerks: 2 at the very rear, 2 at the link between the two sections of the rear driveshaft, 1 at the transfer case, 1 at the other side of the transfer case for the front driveshaft, and 2 at the front of the front driveshaft. Did I miss any?

Next I better secured my tool box. Before I had just temporarily tied it down with wires. I bought two exhaust clamps from autozone and used plasti-coated cable. I ran the cables from the corner bed hooks toward the box, as tightly as possible. Then tightened down the exhaust clamps from above. Solid as a rock :)

Lastly, I have been wanted to switch back to the stock airbox but for $100+ I considered different options. I had the stock airbox in wonderful condition from the 3000GT and so with a couple reducers to have it fit the taco I fab'ed this up:

Thoughts? The only thing I can see that might be problematic is the vacuum line now coming in before the MAFS... could this cause any problems?

The air comes from a vent/hole in the front bottom of the box. So facing the headlight *edit* also the lower section of the box is rotatable so I can have the opening facing any direction I want it to... I figured not towards the warm engine was better... thoughts?

Also, the MAFS being after the vacuum line cause the truck to die immediately after cranking. Sooo after a little finagling I reversed the pipe to the opposite direction and now it purrs like a kitten :p butt dino says its alittle more power but who knows...

Did some trimming to clear the 255/85s. I tried to trim as little as possible and make it where you can't tell from the side view. I may have to take out a bit more, but it looks like it will clear.

you had to trim for those?
Ive got 33/10.50/15's (i believe their slightly bigger than 255/85's), almost same suspension setup, and I have never had a problem rubbing, off road or flexing.

    thats a lot of trimming..

Yeah, it almost ripped the flare off on a trail last weekend. Started bending the front of my bedside out too

No, I'm pretty sure the 255s are taller. I could be wrong though. They measured 33.5-33.75"

you might be right, I cant remember if the 255s are slightly smaller or larger than true 33's.

x2, those 33/10.5/15's are almost an inch shorter than the 255's, especially the BFG 255s which run big
