Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm planning on getting some black steel wheels soon anyway.

cool, go for less backspacing to alleviate the rubbing a bit. I had rubbing on the rear of the rear fender flares as well when flexed out BTW so be ready for that.

I've looked around but can't find too many "aggressive" a/t tires in this size. There's the Cooper s/t but what else?

Did some trimming to clear the 255/85s. I tried to trim as little as possible and make it where you can't tell from the side view. I may have to take out a bit more, but it looks like it will clear.

Better get some pliers and fold those sharp edges over too. If you're worried bout em rubbin at all. You're gonna cut those tires all to hell if they touch any of that stuff. And get some rubber membrane(roofing) and patch back in above the rear flaps

I'm pretty sure it's not going to come close to touching the metal but yeah I'm gonna flex it to double check before wheeling it

Oh and yeah it almost ripped my flare off on a trail this weekend. Horrible rubbing, bent the bedside out a bit. Nothing a dremel can't fix though

I have Deaver 8 leafs in the rear. Says they are 1.5" but they are taller than that. Closer to 2.5-3". They may settle eventually but I hope not
