    Does anyone else have a problem with Windows 7 where as soon as you plug phone/ipod in and it starts to backup CPU goes to 100% and slows the whole computer down? iOS 5 is downloaded but mine has been SITTING at 0 on backup for 20+ minutes...ugh really ticks me off. I don't want to cancel or anything cause then I could mess up the phone but I don't know how long to keep waiting on this thing

    I've had similar issues. I would only wait 10 minutes max. After that, you'll know it's frozen for sure. You're not going to physically harm the phone, as long as it is only in the backup phase. You just don't want to do it while it is flashing the firmware.

    Ok cool thanks man! I finally had enough with it and I went into task manager and ended process of both the apple mobile device things that were open and another opened up and it instantly started working. still VERY slow, but at least its visibly making progress!

    If I were you, after that completes, I'd reboot both the device and the computer and start fresh. A Restore would be a good idea, too.

    Again, I always go overkill on this stuff, but it usually pays off in the end. :D

    Well it has failed TWICE already, saying unable to do restore and I think it was error #3200? Idk what is wrong with it

    That's the same error everybody was getting earlier.

    I imagine traffic is picking back up for their servers with it being close to closing time for central/westcoaters.

    Some people are having luck clearing their backup cache and trying it again, but that's up to you.
