Rear sits lower than front

Hello, I am new to this thread, I have a 2011 Tacoma DC Sport. I recently replaced all 4 shocks with new Bilstein 5100's and have them set at 2-1/2" in front. I also added BFG 265/70R17 Tires on my truck. This was done about 2 months ago and the truck has had time to settle. I recently bought a fiberglass tonneau cover for it and the added weight I have noticed the rear sitting lower. The front fender bottom sits at 38-1/4" and the rear fender bottom sits at 36-3/4". What solution do you recommend without messing with the quality of the ride. Thanks

 

You set the front Bilstein's at 2.5''? I think you need a 2'' AAL to balance it out and new UCA's for the front if you do that or a 1.5'' AAL if you have received the rear leaf TSB.

Although, I'm not sure, wait until a more experienced person comes on and corrects me.

1 1/2 AAL Should set level and only a slight bit stiffer ride.

The tonneau cover is probably about 75lbs I am assumming, not to much. I didnt really notice the front being so much higher until I took my taco on a road trip and everyone was flashing me thinking I had my brights on. I appreciate all the info. The rear suspension is completely stock with the exception of adding the 5100's. No TSB

 

Just ordered a 1" rear block kit from Toytec (thanks for recommending them Macgyver). The guy on phone said 1" block should be very close based off my measurements and if not, I might have a slight 1/4" to 1/2" bro lean. Thanks for all the advise

 

Installed my 1" block this morning and now my Taco is just shy of being completely level.

 

Still looks way nose high...but that's just me. I like a little bit of rake. There's a reason pickup trucks have rake, so when you put weight in the bed it doesn't look nose high.

 

Yea woulda gone with the inch and a half aal in your case... But it looks dead on with no payload. Nice lookin ride

 

TSB?

 

No TSB, I dont carry loads, I just carry my fire gear when I work overtime and use the bed from time to time to carry the stroller and baby stuff. It might be a 1/2" shy of being level but I am glad I went with the 1" block vrs 1-1/2" and have it sit higher in the back since thats the reason I replaced the shocks with 5100's

 

you may be level if you get the TSB rear leaf pack with that 1" block

 

I didnt think the 2011 Sports were eligable for the TSB rear leaf

 

do you have the 3 or 4 leaf pack?

 

OMG he has already said twice that he doesn't have the TSB springs

 

Lose the block and go with the Icon 3 leaf AAL. Awesome ride quality and you can get 2" of lift by leaving in the overload leaf or 1.5" by removing the overload leaf.

 

easy tough guy, and "OMG" should not be used by any man, ever. i missed his post about not having the tsb. i was simply telling him to look into the rear TSB because it would be a free way to level up

 

I dont have the TSB, I have a 3 leaf rear.
