I just relocated to Henderson, NV from the State of Maryland. While drivingaround LV / Henderson I see loads of trails that criss-cross the surroundingmountains, however, I have no idea how to get to the those trails or if it islegal to drive on those trails. Might someone point me in the direction of afew easy / light weight trails that I can drive?

    Thanks!!!!

Let us know what you find out... My inlaws live in Henderson. SCORE runs an annual off road race there, too... Maybe other off road races too?

I'm not too familiar with that area. But NV is 90% public land, so there's a good chance you can hit those roads. Rule of thumb in NV: If there's a gate and it's locked, don't go that way. If there is a gate and it is NOT locked, then feel free to proceed but leave the gate "as you found it": if it was closed, then close it after you pass through; if it was open then leave it open. If you happen to come to a ranch/house, slow down to not piss them off, and watch out for the dog that is guaranteed to chase you.

I would suggest finding a local 4x shop to point out some areas on a map. There are thousands of miles of off road in NV... but most of them aren't fun for wheeling. Get a good set of maps: you can pretty much connect any 2 points in NV with a dirt road, there's lots to explore, no need to use pavement if you have the time.

    Good points John.
OP use Google map of the area with satellite and you can find the roads that connect to the trails.
