I installed it and now it says I am 7GB over storage... I had about 2GB to spare earlier today before the update. I hope something went wrong on the install, because thats alot of space.

Ipod is done, took 7 hours in total. Ipad is on the connector now and is going significantly faster. The initial download only took 30 minutes and it's doing it's restore thing now.

    what is Dev version???

I talked to a guy at Apple to see if there was an actual problem with the download and he said it was just because (literally) billions of people (or devices) were trying to get iOS5. He recommended waiting another week and doing it the night before the iPhone 4S comes out. Figuring everyone keeping their Iphone 4 would have already done the update and everyone else plans on getting the 4S.

On a lighter note, iOS5 seems really cool. I have only played around on it with my iPod Touch and that really doesn't do much. I really need to read about what the update did and what cool new features I got.

Cool, sometimes I have trouble with abbreviations... Makes sense once you said it.

My iPad finished in less that an hour. Seems like the speeds are picking up quite nicely.

wow, ios 5 is pretty cool makes my iPad2 truely an independent system, probably should have had this functionality from the beginning... however...

the install was a PITA, not MS Windows install PITA, but none-the-less a pain for an Apple product. I had to restore and re-sync twice... and the re-sync process 3 times just to get my media back on the iPad.

My Iphone4 is jailbroke and I'm not sure if I should update to IOS5. Is it worth losing the jailbreak?

anyone else having issues with music playback? I click one place, it shows playing another song and it actually plays yet a different song...

I am in the process of deleting everything off the iPad and starting over (not the ios5, just the music). Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and I haven't checked the iPod yet.

Meh, things happen. I also noticed that immediately after the update I had 10 GB of "other" on top of everything else. When I deleted the music off the Ipad, that dropped down to .62 GB immediately. I remember another guy mentioning that his iphone dropped in available storage, and was thinking he might want to try the same thing.

Anyways, now I am waiting for the library to update and try it again to make sure that all is well, otherwise I might have to make a trip to the Apple Store to have it fixed.

yeah I had 30 GB of "other" it was basically all the stuff I had on my iPad before the update... apparently ios 5 can't recognize stuff that was already on the system before the update. I had to delete everything from my iPad and then re-sync... just stupid. I hate the sync system...can I just have a transfer and delete function?

I'm pretty sure Airplay Mirroring only works with iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Basic Airplay requires the 2nd gen Apple TV (little black one without a hard drive).

Haha, whoever you talked to doesn't know what they are talking about. The iPhone 4S comes out tomorrow.
