    Specs from the design engineer....

    The front mud guards are 11” wide and extend 9” below the fender. The rear mud guards are 11.25” wide and extend 9.25” below the fender. The mud guard has a slight taper and the width dimension is across the mud guard at approximately the area where the extension below the fender begins.



    I shot that out before adding the mounting information. We do use the factory mounting locations but use screws instead of push fasteners. There is one location where we feel one of the factory push fasteners is not needed--so it is not used. The material is flexible in that it can be bent without breaking--but it is rigid enough it will not “flap” while driving down the road. Flexibility is hard to describe in a manner that is commonly interchangeable from person-to-person.

    The Husky mud flaps arrived on Monday. They were delayed slightly by a problem with the mold but are apparently in full production at this time.

    The fronts are approximately 3-4" shorter than the stockers, slightly more contoured (with the tire radius) than OEM, cupped in shape, etc. It's pretty apparent in the pics. They are made of a hard plastic *similar* to OEM. Not being a material sciences expert, I couldn't tell you for certain what kind of thermoplastic it is exactly. They are also pretty rigid, close to stock if not moreso. They are not the holy grail flexible rubber flaps people were hoping for, but the price is pretty good and the fit is also quite good as well. They were relatively easy to install. The install package includes all the hardware necessary, decent instructions, and 3M clear film (which I didn't use). Where the guard meets the fender, OEM-style overlap occurs and it obscured any wear that had happened from my previous mud guard installs.

    I haven't installed the rears yet, but I held them up for comparison and they look to be about the same length as the old ones -- i.e., they are not significantly shorter compared with OEM like the fronts are.

    I can tell you that the backsides of the front flaps are just slightly slimmer in profile than stock. With the OEM flaps I had rubbing at full lock. There is no rubbing with these. YMMV.

    I like how the inner part of the front flap ( furthest into the fender ) goes back away from the tire rather than bulge towards the tire like the OEM ones do .
