My bad. Your right. I don't know what I was thinking.

I thought everywhere was close if you were flying...

OK, OKC is far. Someone out East needs to offer up their AC so we can get this show on the road.

Other than doing some serious modification to your sub box, I'm afraid there's not much that can be done with that setup. Sorry man. :(

Nothing yet. I'll be back home in Seattle on Monday and can hopefully hook up with an AC owner one day during the week.

One possibility may be to screw the window motor to the front side of your sub box. It wouldn't be pretty to look at, but if there is enough room between the front of the sub box and the back of the seatback, it might work. Depends on whether you are more concerned with form vs. function.

It would work if you don't mind fastening the window motor to the top front side of that amp board in the middle and don't mind the appearance of the motor and cables being visible. If you were so inclined, you could probably mount the motor to the front side of the amp board and build an enclosure to cover the motor and the whole top portion of that amp rack.

That's a sweet box, I might have to look into getting one of those for myself!

Does the window lock become obsolete? and the motor hold it shut/locked?

The motor you are using...does it look like you could buy new cable for it so they could be extended? I want to do this but would like to mount the motor behind the plastic in a different spot rather that removing it.

Very nice work, Ben. I read this a week or two ago but forgot to compliment you on the quality of your write-up. This is a definitely possibility for me in the future. Glad you live near by :)

This is a possibility that I will have to look into. It resembles an ordinary bicycle brake cable, but I need to make sure that it is for sure. The part that matters is the cable stop, which has to fit into a certain size slot on the motor spool. I will look into this, because a number of folks have been interested in trying to mount the motor somewhere lower that were I have been mounting it.
