I updated the firmware, then it said it was restoring from a backup after I updated the firmware.

If you Restored it from a backup, all the photos should still be there.

If you go into the "Devices" menu, you should be able to view a log of all of the backups iTunes has ever done for any of your devices. Make sure there is a recent one there, and you can try Restoring it again and choosing another backup.

The camera roll issues some of you are seeing could be affected by your iCloud settings. I see the potential for the iCloud photo stream (which is blank cause you haven't used it yet) "overwriting" your camera roll. If you have photo stream turned on I would try disabling it, then do a restore.

Also, make sure you are selecting the proper restore point. You may be selecting a backup taken after iOS 5.0 was installed and the phone was wiped clean.

Ah, so opposite of what I was thinking. You had it off so it cleared your camera roll of everything in your iCloud.

i used to have the auxiliary cable coming out of the little cubby under where the 4x4 switch would be and i put a piece of velcro on the itouch and one on the black piece where the 4x4 switch would be and stuck my ipod right there, it was awesome but now i brought it through the center console
edit: you are a 4x4 so that idea wont work for you

Heres how i currently have it through the center piece and theres alot of slack so i can pull it out and then when im done i tuck it back in.. i dont have pics of how i used to have it with the velcro

I didn't even know iOS5 came out for 3GS. I hated how slow my 3GS got with iOS4, but a blog online says this update runs more seamlessly that the last major upgrade. I'm gonna download it later when I get home.

I thought I had to rush to get the 4S, but if I can still get new OS and its better for now....might delay me a bit...maybe till next year when iPhone 5 comes out?!:D Unless I feel the need to have a cute little digital servant....

....Siri make me a sammich bish! :sandwich: Anyone try this yet?
