Has anyone mounted lights to their oem roof rack. I am contemplating on mounting a couple on the front cross members, was thinking maybe lighter LED lights. Will it work or does anybody have pictures of it done.

I've seen it done, but mind you, with the cross bars locked in, it makes a ton of extra wind noise. So may want to consider some kind of wind deflector up there too.

If I was doing it myself, I would fab up some kind of cross bar myself, so that the rack is still functional.

I did think about the wind deflector. Was hoping someone had done it and had a picture so I could bypass the trial and error part.

I've heard that a few guys went through Thule and bought their wind deflector.

did you ever come up with a solution?
I'm looking to do the same thing except with the lights pointing backwards lighting up the box...

Haven't seen many mounting options though without drilling the rack itself..
