All over road, Wanders with new tires.

after the bf goodrich mud-terrains, my truck drivse bad, it pulls to the right if you let go of wheel even when crown in road is going left. it was fine with my worn out stock tires.. i had two different shops do an alignment, and it feel so sloppy driving on the highway. What kills me is that i hve had these tires on many truck and they always are awesome, last forever! Should i swap out these for all-terrains instead?

 

should have gone with the bridgestone A/T revos
if you dont do a lot of mudding

 

you may have somthing else going on as well if the front end maybe

 

those tires have to sing like mad on the road
all the ones we have installed have
just to much noise for me

Is the truck already lifted? If so, do you have aftermarket UCAs?

 

the truck is stock, had TSB rear spring a week ago so the back sits a little high. Im wondering if when i put the 5100's on it will level out the truck and make it better. Could it be the angle in the spindles are tipped forward because the rear of the is so high.

I dont think there is anything wrong with the truck as it was perfect befor the new tires, drove like a dream.

hmm... maybe try to have the tires rebalanced then... I don't think that the rake you currently have is going to cause that issue... Chris should be here soon though...

 

Tires are balenced awesome, zero virbration and thats hard for a mt...they spent hours balancing them. I'm only setting th 5100's to 1.75 when i get them on friday, i hope that it doesnt add to my problem. I went with the 5100's because i thought it was the best way to level truck wit the TSB springs, dont want to much of a lift. Thats why the 265/75-16 is wahat i went with. I dont want to run into drivablity issuses like weird UCA angles and so on. I dont want to spend 650.00 on UCA just to level the truck.

After searching on here i notice alotof people complained about the wandering with and without stock tires. But no one seem to end the tread wit what they did, and if it helped.

 

It just looks so BAD-ASS with the Mud-Terrain!!!

 

after you have the 5100s installed have the alignment done/or ck you may need to have it done iam almost 100% sure you will
and if the pull does not stop rotate the tires and see if that
helps keep us posted it could be in the tire it self

Ya friday after work ill toss the 5100's on. Hopfully it helps. Have people been ok with out doing UCA's on just 1.75 lift, its so little that it would suck to spend another 650.00. I see lots off people with 3 inch lift and dont have UCA's it must handle like ride on tractor like that!!

 

it rides OK with a 3" lift and stock UCAs... you just get a wandering feeling in the steering...

 

Had issues with mine at first, same as what you talked about. They could not get the alignment in. Did the re-balance, and rotate, helped a little.
What helped the most and fixed the problem was new U.C.A.'s, yea it blows spending more $$. Now it drives straight as an arrow, but for me it did take awhile getting use to the lift/bigger tire deal.

My truck wanders with my 265/75/16 goodyear mtrs, I just deal with it. I also have the billys at 1.75. there is only one solution and that is uca's.

 

Ballon78, Keep us posted on the results of installing the 5100's. I have an '09 and was thinking about installing the 5100's to level out my truck. I was thinking about this route over installing new coilovers because of all of the issues others have experienced when lifting their trucks. I don't want to solve one issue and create several more in the process. White trucks rule!!
