    Another random question

So by adding 4 feet of 4 gauge multi strand single conductor wire to my winch from the solenoid, will I reduce the power going to the winch by too much? I don't think so but the guy at NAPA who sold me the wire seems to believe so? I didn't think there would be much of a voltage drop over just four feet :notsure:

Their is some loss but not enough over the distance to notice. Just google voltage loss over wire and look for your ga and distance and you will know the exact number.

I don't see how there'd be near enough loss to even think about. People run winches on the back of tow vehicles wayyyy more than 4' from their batteries....

These decisions are killing me. It seems like I am changing my mind every 12 hrs. Good thing I've got some time to decide

I was, until I found the OME kit locally with full Dakar rear leafs for the same price as the ULK kit before shipping.

So it really boils down to:

    1. Do I want full adjustablity in the front from the ULK just in case? Or do I not need that?

    2. Do I want AAL with my non-TSB rear leafs? Or would a new set of Dakars be better for me?

    3. Which rides smoother, the ULK or the OME ( I know I am going to ask 100 people and get 100 different answers)?

Since Im not worried about installation price/time since I will be doing it at a buddies house, which one is easier? Or are they both the same when it comes to installation?

    WTF!

Yeah I was in hawaii when I bought the lift....

    Shipping was $170 alone :(

I'd go with the full leaf pack over the AAL any day. The ULK was only $999 when I picked it off plus %10 off. Its a lot more now for some reason.

I just looked at MetalTech's website. They list the Dakar's with the OME kit. I don't know if you can buy them by themselves.

$999 plus 10% off would be worth it. The search would be over. Now its $1149 plus 5% off. So its $1089 (I think).

The OME kit is $1034 with a full leaf pack. I think I just convinced on price.

LOL... Maybe in a few more years. I've only got 15,000 miles on my current setup and relentless's high clearance rear bumper is just screaming my name right now...

I was hoping to stay under a grand. The self install will help save a little. But I don't want to be spending a couple grand on this.

    Random question for you...

How do you have/plan to mount your license plate with your winch?
