Morning Sue, Its all good...Tom Was trying to fit into a new pr. of jeans size 38 in 1980 could not get them to button Went home mad. I was 225lb. took almost 2 years to get down to 170. The hard thing to do is really watch what you EAT. That 2 helping of dinner, cakes, pies, ice cream will go right to the middle when I cut back on everything I started to fell better and look better. It takes time but its worth it. 25 sit ups, pull ups, and push ups each morn. at home at 7 am and watch what I eat, I feel better then I did 30 years ago (also better looking JMHO) Its not going to be quick but it will work over time..... Jim

Hi Mike, don't blame you for not liking what winter brings...that lake effect snow can be a real bitch...

Don't feel bad Jim, I studied for a week and stilled failed my blood test:anonymous:...

Once I get the okay from the doctor about the shoulder, it's back to the gym...Tom have you tried water arobics...tried it once and thought I was going to die. Good work out and low impact on the joints...

Totally agree with the goodies Jim...easy to put the weight on and a real tough time to lose it...And TW doesn't help any by me sitting here typing in all these post's(even though we are gaining on the 40+ and 30 + threads):D....Ken

Well, Looks like I'm the new-old kid on the block. Been a couple of years since I saw 60. Over weight, knees shot,(VA replaced them both, but still have problem with them.)
Eyes getting worse, Can't remember anything anymore. Do I qualify? Been looking for a smaller pickup. Got a Ford F150 now. The Toyota dealer here doesn't have any 2011's or 12 Tacomas, only has a lot full of Tundras. So I may have to wait a while to get a new truck. I guess that will give me time to read up on them.

Morning all! Beautiful clear sky this morning but still a chance of showers. Off to the gun show this morning and Lynn is even coming with me - her first time.

Welcome BC! You'll find a few of us youngsters tolerated around here - learning from our wise elders!!

I bought my first Taco a few months ago - found a 2004 with only 27,000 miles on it in beautiful shape. Decided to go for it and am very pleased with it!!

Have a great Saturday - I'll report on the gun show later today!

Welcome to Tacoma World and to the 60+ thread BC. Hey you are not in depends yet so you are good to go.

Had a great day yesterday. It really rained in the am and I had a lot of bushes and lilacs removed to make way for a vegetable garden next year.

I talked to a contractor that was doing my neighbor's yard and we reached an agreeable price. It was close to 60% lower than a quote I had for the work two weeks earlier. It pays to shop around. Work was done in 2 days, FTW!

back again! no trip to NY. tomorrow. guy called and said he sold the cap. he told me he worked 14-15 hr. days, 6 days a week, and don't get home till about 7:00 at night. that's why I didn't go for it today, and was going on sun., when he was off. apparentlly he could get home if he wanted to,or was handing me a line of BULL.,who knows. he called me around 1:00; I could have picked it up this morning if I had known this. but maby it would have been sold last night! ;)!

That sucks Carl. Just keep looking and you will find one.

Welcome MT Madman. It should be a nice day here in Maryland today.

I hope to be able to start to set the blocks that will be the base for the shed ramp today. All the rain last week slowed me down. But first I need to go to church.

Sunny but cooler here today - high in the 50s. Not bad for this time of year, though. Lynn and I had a fun trip to the gun show and then across the street to the Farmer's Market.

Might go pick up some firewood today - don't really need it now but if there's some available - for free - then I'll probably grab it. Also need to burn some boxes and do some light clean up for fall.

    Have a great day everyone!

    Good evening Ken

Had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday was some city volunteer work and a lot of family time. Today I finally started on the shed ramo.

I put down the first row of support base blocks. I was thinking I would make the space smaller on each side and work in 2 small cuts of the base blocks. But sanity finally came to me and said why do 2 cuts when 1 will do.

I hope to get the rest of the blocks installed tomorrow and rent a paver wet saw to do the cuts I need on Tuesday.

Hey Tom, sheds looking good...probably would be done if it didn't rain so much...blocks won't be seen unless the ramp is going to be removable so the cut shouldn't really matter... son-in-law has been working on our deck off and on in between kids soccer games (has 3 kids playing and he coaches 2 of em) and spring and fall baseball for the grandson...and the rain:rain:Almost decked and then the railing...Maybe by Thanks:confused:giving...hows the leg doing??? Ken
