The wife's went bad on her accord and I got one from autozone. I will never do that again. Put the new one on there and it did not work. Lady at that AZ off mt zion said it was not the alternator it was the car it must have an electrical problem and I should take it to a shop. I had to take the new alternator off and take it to the walton store so they could test it and it failed. The guy at the Walton store was a bit more honest and said it is not uncommon to see these not work out of the box. WTH. They did give me a new one but it was a pain in the butt. I will not shop there again.

Thanks for your guys imput. I guess I didn't realize how much I needed my car until stuff like this happens. But a little place down the street from me is putting one on for $255. No sure what the brand it but it has a one years labor warranty with a 5 year parts warranty. Just need to have it done today that was the only place that could. Wish me luck.

    FML...

The alternator they got in didn't work. But after the put my original alternator back on they said that it is probably the ground as the alternator does charge. So wtfk... I'm really starting to get pissed. I have to take it back 2maro so they can take another look at it and see if it is actually a wire or the alternator. But good news it they wont be able to get another alternator till Thursday... awesome...

Update: Truck is fixed. Took it back to the small garage today on my lunch break. Yesterday when I picked it up they had to put the factory alternator back on so I could get it home. When they put it on they said the as they were adjusting the wires connected to the alternator it would intermediately charge. So they thought that it wasn't the alternator and that it was a wire, maybe the ground. Today they when thru the wires connecting the alternator and found out one was corroded. After $200 they replaced the wire and my original alternator is functioning properly again. :) I cannot tell you how happy I am to have it working again. Not driving it for 2 days really made me appreciate how much I like my truck and couldn't wait to have it back. She is in the garage where she belongs!

Been looking at trucks as I am getting closer to a nice amount of green paper in my stash... Kinda torn between another p/u single cab and the t100. I love how the t100 has the 3.4 v6 in it. If I really needed to, I could haul a decent size load. I don't have any experience in that engine though.

What would you guys do? 89-94 p/u with the 22re engine or t100 with 3.4 v6? t100's are hard to come by around here too.

I would do the 3.4 as I had that motor in my 98 4Runner. Its a great motor and mine was bullet proof. Never had a single issue with it. I would suggest the T100 as I prefer a little bit bigger of a truck but get what you think you will be happy with. Both are good.

I am a fan of both motors! You can't go wrong with either it more of what you want though. The 3.4 will give you more power but both are solid motors!

Thanks guys. The t100 seems like a nice truck. I like the extra space in it too. Only thing I have had problems with is finding aftermarket/off road parts for it. It looks like I might be able to get away with using the 95.5 gen taco parts?

Are those that are listed on here still coming? Or do I need to pick a better date when more people can attend?
