True Real World Plate Bumper Weights?

I know sometimes the company claimed weight is different from the actual weight. Now probably most of you with these plate bumpers likely didn't weight them or maybe didn't care about the weight. And it's pretty hard to weigh them. But I thought I'd ask...

All Pro claims ~180lbs.
Demello claims ~100lbs.

Thats a big difference between those two. But has anyone, perchance, actually weighed their AP, Demello, or other plate bumper?

The RelentlessFab aluminum is 55 lbs

 

All pro cant be near 180lbs.. I can easily pick one up and install it myself.

The RelentlessFab steel is ~120 lbs IIRC

I had to use a jack to install, no way one person could do it easily.

 

my bumper from cbi and winch/cable plus pallet and some fog lights weighed 220 lbs according to shipping manifest. i got to find it again to make sure.

 

The pallet is probably 40 though , yes ?

 

The all-pro plate is 118lbs. I used a bathroom scale. I could put it on and take it off by my self.

 

Ah, maybe I misheard the rep when I called. 180 vs 118. Close...I hope I heard wrong. I'm assuming you weighed all three pieces, not just the center main.

 

It's also friggin way more bank! But yes, that's lighter.

yeah, $100 more than steel and you don't have to redo your suspension if you already have a lift to support a heavier steel bumper (Also won't rust).

 

I installed my relentless by myself with no help or jacks

Mine weighed in at 105.4lbs

 

Oh, yes. Very good point!! That's a cost and labor savings charge too.

Aluminum however, is a soft metal. And with these bumpers taking direct hits, it's not as impact-proof as steel. I just don't think it would be as durable as steel in the longrun.

It looks like at least 3 brands (All Pro, Relentless, Demello) of these steel plate bumpers are within 10lbs of each other, about 100lbs average. That's good for me since those are the brands within reasonable driving distance for me to pick up and save on uber high shipping

 

ARB = ~125lb

 

That must mean not including the two side pieces
