    Actually, things suddenly aren't looking too good for me at all tomorrow... Guy who covers half of saturday called in, leaving me on call the whole morning.

    As for doing it all, you'd have to go pretty fast just see the areas mentioned and be out by 1:00. There wouldn't be time for much playing around- something I really wanted to do in the SVRA area.

    Work is work, man. If I need to go to the datacenter for just one call, I need to get there in a timely manner. There's been lots of shit happening with our most important customer on the weekends and if it's my turn on call and nobody else wanted to take the pager, then I have to do my job. Sorry, but it's just like that sometimes :( My job and extra opportunities in the company are more important than half a day in the desert- it's just one of those weekends where I have to work.

    It is not far from the dry lake/ Ocotillo Wells... and has a large sand plateau that isn't soft sand... deflated you Prerunners should be able to cruise around up there... then there is that trail to the top of the hill and some awesome views of the entire desert up there. 4WD only to the top, I think. Shell Reef is past Devil's Slide... and I think that is more for motorcycles with those jumps...? You can take Tarantula Wash out to Hwy. 78 then back to Ocotillo Wells, then down Split Mountain Road to Sandstone Canyon/ Diablo Drop Off, etc. The mud caves are on the way out to Agua Caliente on S-2 with a small side trip... I heard Carrizo was dry... so no deep water fun, if that's the case??

    Just ideas to consider... I don't want to be run leader, just along for the drive and a few 4x4 climbs, etc. Let's take advantage of the daylight and have fun driving. If it gets dark, I have 4 HID lights now to wake up the desert!
