    There is talk of not even refueling CVN 73 GW and going straight to decommissioning. They are looking to cutting the fleet to 10 carriers.

    havent heard that rumor, though sounds like a great idea NOT

    to late for all that, they have been kicking people out of the Navy for the last year or so with no reason other than "budget cut backs"

    People that are just now coming are coming in with future budgets in mind. They think its better to boot us that have been in for awhile and train new people. IF they pass the new retirement bill that is/was floating around then they will safe an ass ton of money with not giving retirement paycheck until people hit 65.

    Now what we need to do, YES I know VA law makers dont want to do it. It is also going to cost FL BILLIONS of dollars. Though we need to move at least 1 CVN out of NOB.

    It would save the navy, 7 Billion dollars over the next ten years is what they said.

    I know a shit ton of people who are sol right now. People with families, and zero options to stay military. People who have made it over their half way to retirement hump, who now are fucked. It blows. But such is life.
