    yup went to NBCCSA, first year was a breeze, didn't even have to pay attention and I was getting top marks. 2nd year was a dffferent story though still came out averaging 90s in the ktchen exept for sugar work and what not.

    I love cooking but man I got to say It is a very bad career choice. Its sad I get paid more as a snowboard instructor than in my proffesion I went to school 2 years for. Not to mention the hours, so much for a social life. Right now I am not in a kitchen, I needed a break. I would love to get back in once in a while just to keep from going:goingcrazy:. We'll see what the future holds i guess.

    Yeah that is why I would fine tune my kitchen time to particular events. Or find a place that would need a chef for a couple hours a day like a big business that wants to hire me for lunch style cuisine. I spent around 15 years in the kitchen.......... won't do that again

    Thats good your eating healthy though. Very important especially when your as active as your are with the hapkido and working out. I'm more old school and it just seems that less and less people cook these days.:eek:

    which is exactly why i chose to not pursue that career. i would hate having friday and saturday nights be my busy time at work (on top of all the other reasons you mentioned). the only way i would do it would be to open my own restuarant and try to make it big (i wouldn't mind it as much if i was running my own show) and eventually hiring the cooking out and just managing it.

    Here's something I made infamous in the kitchen I used to work in...I loved that place, so much better than the corporate BS I deal with now.

    Known as "the usge" siince it's what I usually ate.

    Parts:
    Chicken breast, shingled.
    2x pieces of bread (I've used potato when making it at home...last time I made it at that place was 2 years ago so I forget what we had)
    2x slices of cheddar
    3x slices bacon
    BBQ sauce, to cover.

    Cook chicken breast.
    Toast bread, melt cheddar overtop one slice.
    Put shingled chicken on bare bread, add BBQ and bacon, then put cheesy bread ontop. Throw it in salmander/over to warm everything up, and enjoy.
