2012 new tacoma heavyduty all weather mats

Toyota made new heavy duty rubber mats. I have a 2010 tacoma. Would it fit with thos new clips? I only saw it online at toyota site but I wonder if weather tech mats is better?

 

I havn't seen the new ones yet, but many of us on this site have and will vouch for the weathertechs, and even the husky liners.

i had a 2010 tacoma with weathertech's digifit- great mats. would buy them again in a heartbeat. now i have a 2012 tacoma, but the weathertech's from my 2010 don't fit. actually, the "fit" is just fine, but the mat retention clips in the 2012 don't line up with the holes in the 2010 mats. plus, the clips are a different style. think i'm just going to keep them, but fill the holes in the floor mat with some caulk to prevent water/snow melt from going through the holes onto the carpet- ha, unless someone offers me a good price for my 2010 weathertech's. double cab front/rear.

 

btw, i'm not impressed with the 2012 "all-weather" rubber mats. maybe if you had a few raindrops on your feet the mats will keep it off the carpet. but nothing about them will keep slush, snow, and ice off the carpet in winter- only the weathertechs do that...

yeah, my 2012 double cab came with the new 'all weather mats'. just picked it up last monday.
if you don't see a lot of wet, snow, or mud, the new all weather mats will probably be just fine.
they just don't go very high up behind the brake/gas pedals.

 

I just purchased a 2011 Double Cab ... I got the new all weather mats from the dealer ... they fit the same pin locations but are half the thickness of the original mats from a few years back. When you are driving , the hook pin sits above the mat because the mat is so thin .... It catches your shoe ( or flip flop in my case ) every time .... I wish I had another "old set " . I can only imagine how this would be in snow and mud.

 

How do you get into your truck??? The pins are far back...I just bought a factory set for my 11 cause the gray carpet ones get dirty and make the floor look old

 

I got an '11 with the updated all weather mats as well...hated them. I had the same problem as you in that the stupid clips would snag my shoes or slippahs (flip flops) getting in and out. Bought some Weathertech digifits...problem solved...love them! They cover a lot more too!

 

Just ordered my new truck today. To get the all-weather vinyl flooring its a special order. I have to wait till after the first of the year to get my truck. Its not in production on the long bed double cab yet. I beleave that you can get it in the access cab and the short bed double cab. The option code is (FL). You also might have to shop around. First dealer I put my money down on just tried to jerk me around telling me I couldn't get it and that I would have to go with after market. Went through the consumer reports program to locate this new dealer in Coos Bay and they were very helpful. Didn't have any answers for me at first, but they contacted Toyota and found out what I needed to do. Price was fair, not the best but I felt they gave me the best service without a lot of BS. About 30,200 for long bed doublecab 4x4 SR5 with tow package bed extender vinyl flooring(flooring is a $50.00 more then carpet)

I thought the all weather floors where for the offroad model only.

 

Since I first posted , I have talked to over 20 people with the same opinion on Toyotas " New " all weather mats ... They suck !! I finally ordered "Weather-Tech" ... but not the computer generated ones ... just the regular all weather mats .... They should be to me on Monday ...... the thin version that everyone seems to be playing " safe with just don't do the job. Best of luck with your new TACO .... Aloha Bob

From what I understand, the all-weather vinyl flooring is a stand alone option. Its not part of any package I saw. But nobody is stocking it, thats why I had to order my truck. Kind of sucks because I would like to get my truck but its worth the wait for me. The clay and mud around here can sure toast your carpet in a hurry.

 

I wish I could have had the all vinyl flooring. I will never for the life of me figure out why they put carpet in trucks. I have the Weathertech digifits and I love them. The next best thing to no carpet all.

 

Im not sure, but I think there are 2 different topics being covered here: 1 about THE all weather FLOORING (which is not the same as any "over the carpet" floor mats), and floor mats.

The flooring takes the place of ALL the carpet in the truck. Google: 2012 tacoma all weather flooring to see pics of it. People on TW have pics as well. That stuff looks great for offroad application.

Just so we are all on the same page...

 

Weather techs are nice. I have a pair for my 08. A buddy of mine bought the Husky liners and I would rather have them. Check your them out

 

I also had bought the toyota rubber weather mats in my last tacoma. They're nice in design looks, but not functionality. They simply don't hold any fluid because there are no sides. In my recent tacoma I went with weathertechs, which are by far better for function. They're great for protecting the carpet from everything. I have a pair of weathertechs for sale, but they're for the newer twist locks that come on the newer tacomas.
