    FALSITY!!!!1one!

I had the same outlook as you, until we tried to buy a house. You've GOT to have credit to buy a house. Easiest thing to do is get2 or 3 low limit credit cards and carry a little balance on them. I was like damn peacock going in the mortgage office because we had saved up so much money for our down payment and we had zero debt but my wife didn't even had a credit report to pull cause she had nothing. I had one credit card with a zero balance and that was not enough. It took an extra 2 months to scrape together bills paid and such to convince them we could afford to buy a house. What a PAIN.:mad::mad:

Yeah definitely. If you dont have a heated camper or something, then the camping season is over for me as well. Received several inches of snow in town last week, and its still sticking around the "mountain" areas here too.

lol x2 im pretty sure a heater will run a battery dead in 6 hours. heaters pull a lot of power because they use resistance to make heat

    neglect, mostly.
better, but truck will be dead as a hammer in 4 hrs tops. i was running computer speakers off a laptop in my bed one night while catfishing. not even big speakers, fairly small ones and the laptop wasn't plugged in. killed the taco in like 2 hrs.

yeah i've never had a problem with it turning over or the battery dying when i listen to the radio while i fish ponds and stuff (well, once. but that was over 5 hours i think) but when i plugged in those little speakers, they sucked it dry pretty quick.

not like you need it for camping in the 40's. this is all i need.

last year for christmas all i asked for was a pair of these and a thermos brand coffee mug (keeps coffee hot for 5+ hrs no joke). i got them and love them. this year, i'll probably just ask for the same thing.

Just found this out today... took a bunch of cedar wood chips (really small) and mix it with petroleum jelly until it is all good and mixed together. I took a chunk a little bit bigger than what you see in the pic (pic was taken about 3 minutes after ignition) and it burned really well for about 8 minutes and probably could have gone longer if i didn't put it out. A bigger chunk would give you plenty of time to get some wood and get the fire started and lit with no problem. Best part is... it is incredibly light too.

thats a very cool idea! i gotta try that. i just got done testing a new way to make some cotton balls mixed in petroleum jelly. I melted down the jelly first then dipped the cotton balls in it and let them cool. did ok on testing. I found out that you can over soak them and they wont want to light if your using a fire steel. looks like im gonna stick to the ol school "roll it around in the jelly" lol
