I have a bunch of friends in yuma and I want to give glamis a shot. I'm a noob when it comes to all of this what do you guys recommend? How will my 2wd set up handle? My buddies have other trucks so I wouldn't be going alone. Any advice for a first timer?? (I won't be one of those drunk maniacs driving into people's camps)

okay are you locked? im guessing your not since your a sport.

you will be "okay" as long as you dont go into the big dunes and know what your doing... air down to 10 psi, any you will need to use ALOT of skinny pedal.

im always in 2wd until i need it. but since you havent been you dont know how to read the dunes or drive in them. but as long as you have people with you, you should be fine. stay in the small dunes, or sand hwy.

Sooo.. I think my gf and I are gonna try and come out.. this is the plan:

Drive down to Yuma, visit my grandparents for the day that are down there from out of town (they volunteer at a pumpkin patch)

Then either stay the night there or drive out to Glamis (you guys) VIA sand highway from gordons well and stay the night.

If we stay the night In Yuma, then in the morning we will come out to Glamis.

Either way we will hang out at Glamis for the day, then head back that evening.

Thing Is trying to figure out what days to do what, and where to stay.. if we stay at Glamis, Eric.. we would probably come by your camp if thats cool.. and drop off our stuff so we can wheel the truck. I usually have family or family friends that are at Glamis or gordon.. but I don't think anyone is going for holloween.

We have four sleeping bags, plus blankets. Have sets in the bed at gordons well before.. but It was thanksgiving or presidents day.. cant remember. Just gonna bring, the sleeping bags, blankets, cooler with drinks, food for dinner and snacks.. and my grill. That's it. I'll leave yuma at like 3 or 4.. take about 45 minutes to an hour on sand highway.. and be at Glamis at 4 or 5.

    Hows that all sound?

I'll be leaving yuma on saturday at around 3 or something. going to gordons well, then taking the sand highway to Glamis. Not sure where gecko is. I've only camped at Gordon and gone to glamis once via sand highway.

I am going to GLamis for sure now I fixed my bike :D. It is crazy the stock Cold Cranking Amps: 130 and this battery is 275[IMG]. IT is also lighter than stock battery by 10 lbs. Kinda like a optima battery for my quad [IMG]. So stoked [IMG]
