Been lurking and posting around here for a few months and realized I never introduced myself. Great site. Have gotten some fantastic info. here. I am on my third Tacoma, one 04, and two 2011. (Traded first 2011 2wd for a 4x4 at 7000 miles). Have not worked on my own vehicles in 25 years, but thanks to this site, I am learning and trying to do things on my own again rather than rely on stealerships.

Took these since I know it will never be this clean again. Pure stock. Probably leave it that way since I am little old to be running around with over-sized tires and a lift kit but never too old to own a Tacoma.:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:
    First non-red Tacoma I've had.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes from everyone!!!

Had a 2011,2WD-SR5-4cyl access cab, manual. Was not real thrilled with the manual. Felt the gears were a little too spaced out and I wasn't crazy about the clutch. Probably just me I know, but still, it bugged me in stop and go traffic. I spun on an incline at the end of my drive in gravel a few times, and thought I am SCREWED when the snow hits. By going down to a base. auto, 4x4, and skipping the SR5 package, I came out ok and basically paid what I would have paid if I had bought the 4x4 in the first place.
I do not really miss any of the SR5 stuff. I never wanted a sliding window, and I thought the backup cam was OK, but nothing to drool over. I can certainly live without power mirrors. I added OEM cruise, Intermittent wipers, and lighted 4x4 switch. Miss the keyless entry a tad, but knowing the 4x4 will get my ass home in the snow certainly makes up for it!:D
I like the base upholstery better than the SR5 and I like the ALL black dash, radio, etc. Never was too crazy about the black dash, silver stereo, tan seats and black mats in the first one I had. To much color explosion going on:eek:. All black and grey looks like everything "fits". Just my 25 cents worth:D
