What caused the diff to go out already? How much for diff alone? it cant be that difficult to install.

:confused:Wow. I seriously abused/neglected vehicles in my youth and never got those kind of results. I'm really curious about what caused all the damage.

Broken and scratched tailgate, cracked rear tail light lens, coffee stain in driver seat.
Since the front was toast, did you have the rear checked ? Don't get the wrong impression, or get nervous when I say, it sounds like the previous owner either wrecked this truck, or ran the hell out of it, I would have a complete physical done on this truck if I were you. Toyota front ends just don't go bad after a year, as a matter of fact I never have heard of one going bad, tread cautiously. :rain:

I thought the truck being wrecked might be a possibility too, and with 105k in 2 years it was definately run like hell. Even with the high miles, I'm suprised the dealership didn't offer some sort of warranty, even a small one.

Before I got my 02 (also a high mile truck) I went after an 05 with 97k on it, but someone beat me to it. After hearing this, I'm kinda glad someone scooped it up before me.

I hope for your sake he does make it right. Just out of curiosity, how much you pay for the truck?

This is not meant to offend you, but why in hell would you buy a vehicle with that many miles on it when you say you make 540.00 per day? Maybe I don't understand completely?

My father taught me a few things and some of them were:

    A. All car dealers are not to be trusted.
    B. Never buy somebody elses troubles. (used vehicles)
    c. Never live beyond your means. (only use credit cards for convenience, NOT for credit).

It pays to do your "due dilligence".

I hope for your sake that the dealer you bought from makes things right for you. Good luck, bro.

Can you put up a picture or two so we can see what you bought?

Hey 22, thanks for having the fuzz to call a spade a spade, your old man and my old man had to have been buds, 'cause he said the same thing to me. I really feel bad for this lad, this was NOT a Toyota certifide trk. It sux because there is a guy out here who is going to have a bad taste in his mouth about Tacos and it really won't be representative sample of what they are really made of. :(

I feel bad for him too. Under normal circumstances, 100,000 miles isn't bad...these trucks can do 300,000+ but for for $15,000?

This might turn into a tough lesson. But you know what?, it won't be forgotten soon. Hopefully he can dodge this bullet and be no worse for the wear.

Hell, even when you do your "due dilligence" you can still make mistakes.
(say that 3 times fast) :D
