I'm coming down to the wire on my can. I have a carbine class coming up on the 29th and I really don't want to run 500 rounds through my 11.5" SBR WITH MUZZLE BRAKE because my damn tax stamp isn't approved. It's been 4 months!

    OK, whining over. :D

The government's rabid innefficiency should be everyone's problem. I paid $200 four months ago to have the FBI run a background check on my name and fingerprints, and have a clerk initial a little stamp on some paperwork. Even though they've done the same background check no less than 5 times in the last 3 years, and managed to cash my check within 48 hours of receipt, they have yet to return my forms.

There's really no wrong way to go man....like everybody said, AR's are very modular. I have a bushmaster pretty decently tricked out. The only bad thing I have to say about any of them is the damn CMMG rifles. My buddy bought one brand new and the thing jams after every round fired....but who knows, that could be just one in a million.

I am still waiting on LWRCI to get the Form 3 OK'd to send the SBR to my FFL SOT. It is rediculous. I bought it on the 7th of September and I still have to get word that it is in route. I haven't even started the long waiting process yet. That happens after the delivery of said rifle which is still two weeks out if it gets approved tomorrow.

I just got a spikes lower with a kies .22 upper that I will swap out later on down the road. Still in break in period. It is very tight at the moment so it needs better oil than remoil. any suggestions. I picked up a bottle of hoppes elite tonight and will see how that does. also got some S&W oil but doesnt seem to have as high viscosity as the hoppes. remoil burns off after 2-5 shots.

My personal experience is nothing formal but I run my ARs wet and no issues here in ~4k rounds, the first few usually blow off the excess anyway. (but really I was mostly relaying Pat's experience and info and not my own)

calm down chief, just making a joke. A few years ago I had 2 background checks in 2 consecutive months......and the FBI DID FULL INVESTIGATIONS ON BOTH! All the way back.......cause......ya know......my history from 7 years ago might have changed from month to month.
It's the government, quick to take your money......and most of it you'll never see again. Its the price of bureaucracy.

Point taken and thanks for the info... But the only thing I'm not getting straight is the ammo I hear different stories about it.. That it won't make much difference when "zeroing" or that it will make ALL the difference?? I do realize I need a lot more time behind the gun though and I appreciate the input..

Nice... Yea I hear mix things when having to zero in your scope never really got one general view... What would you recommend a good factory load to sight my acog with... I used one of my hornaday tap rounds and I'm pretty sure it's the one that was dead center... I'm gonna be hitting you up for a shit ton of questions now lol

RCO is set up for M855 62gr out of a 14.5 inch barrel. You can do a 50/200 dial in and be pretty on the money.

Yea that's what I thought too.. But I can't seem to get a general consensus... Some people say u will not notice the difference... An others say Their will be quite a difference... Oh and I notice even the manual said too "tap" the turrets so I'm gonna try that next session...

SLIP2000 is the best I have ever used.
The reason why there is no consensus is because even Trijicon has differing info out there. There is a definitive chart on ARFcom that has this info readily available. According to Trijicon the difference is less than the width of the BDC line. For the record it works as advertised. Every rifle is different and things should be verified, but it is still pretty money. I am very happy I own my ACOG and I believe everyone should at least hold one up to their eye once in their life.
