Painting rims

Whats the steps to painting rims? Thanks

 

Clean, wet sand smooth, wash again, tack cloth, spray paint whatever color you want!

 

On my 4runner they're powdercoated. Not sure of the quality job that you want but powdercoating is tough as nails. I took it up to the top of a ridgeline out here in cali with loose rock and I got one chip from a softball size rock bouncing off the rim. A paint shop would probably do it for around 30-75 apiece in whatever color you want. They do have to take the tires off and such though. They take your rim and put a charge through the rim, spray the paint which is a powder, and then they slide it into an oven. Usually takes about 20 min per rim depending on how large their oven is. But the above instructions will work for rattle canning your rims.
