Ohh alright. If not, that's cool. I understand how busy school can get. Once and when I decide to go back to school I will be pretty busy myself with work/school. Was planning on meeting ya this Saturday for lunch with the fellas but I couldn't wake up in time after getting off work in the morning.

Yeah that's pretty spendy just for a day trip. I don't know how long I will be able to stay out there on the 29th..I will be pretty tired since I get off work at 6:40 that morning. Might have to drive to my dads and nap there for a couple hrs or so or stick to my plan and sleep in my truck at McDonalds :)

    Joe:

Don't bother with harbor freight on straps, they don't have any that will work for your needs. Your easiest choice is ARB, which will be about $80. It works as a good middle of the road quality. I say middle of the road because it's inexpensive while remaining fairly safe - note that ARB has proven to fail before reaching its advertised stress limit, so it makes you think about the no namers... Though stepping up to the higher quality straps is difficult to swallow.

You are also talking about tire deflators. While the staun deflators are preset and easy, they tend to be inaccurate and there are cheaper options. I have found the currie enterprises deflator to be the best option at a nice $30. Note that it is identical to the ARB deflator, but at less cost. Shipping will kill you, it's typically more than the cost of the product for god knows why. 4wheelparts has them in stock, so get it there even though the store is evil ;) necessity is like that sometimes

I should mention that I have an ARB strap and I'm not really worried

What? HOW!!?! You're the one not going anymore.

Gotcha! Well my brother in law says he has a strap I can have/use so I will hold out for now and as far as the deflators..yeah I've read customer reviews on Amazon and some mention how the preset is not accurate. Found some cheap-o's..not sure if they're worth a shot or not..

    http://www.amazon.com/Quick-Air-Tir...2PNK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1318874228&sr=8-2

Not sure if it's the right word/terminology but maybe its the wheel bearings(???) I hope you get it figured out soon..going to be interesting to see what Toyota charges you just to "take a look at it".

I'm guessing at least $90. That's what the dealership by my house in San Diego charged for their "inspection fee".

Meh. The front end itself is fine, but I hate the way the fender flares get all.....weird.

I re-torqued this evening, ~slightly~ loose but no issues. Are you thinking the studs themselves are somehow busted?

It was just an idea. Because I can't really think of what it could be from the items you checked.

worth a guess. It did get me thinking and I tried to rock the passenger tire back and forth at the 12:00 position. If I get rocking it like a mofo I can ~maybe hear a slight tap...

With your truck at full lock, can you see anything binding? Or rubbing?

Mike, I know you've already considered this, but are you certain the front diff is not engaged? It sure sounds like it might be.

If you lift one front wheel off the ground, does it spin freely? Does the front drive shaft rotate when you spin the wheel?

I can't make it happen at full lock, I have to be a few degrees before that.

How the heck do I do that? Do you mean if I lift the front and try spinning the wheel by hand? Or did you mean put it all up on blocks? I'm not educated enough on how to remove the driveline, otherwise I'd see if it went forward with the selector on 2WD.

I only have a hi lift at the moment and there's nothing creative around to use as jack stands. I absolutely hate apartment life.
