    Gotcha! Well my brother in law says he has a strap I can have/use so I will hold out for now and as far as the deflators..yeah I've read customer reviews on Amazon and some mention how the preset is not accurate. Found some cheap-o's..not sure if they're worth a shot or not..

    Not sure if it's the right word/terminology but maybe its the wheel bearings(???) :confused: I hope you get it figured out soon..going to be interesting to see what Toyota charges you just to "take a look at it".

    I re-torqued this evening, ~slightly~ loose but no issues. Are you thinking the studs themselves are somehow busted?

    worth a guess. It did get me thinking and I tried to rock the passenger tire back and forth at the 12:00 position. If I get rocking it like a mofo I can ~maybe hear a slight tap...

    Mike, I know you've already considered this, but are you certain the front diff is not engaged? It sure sounds like it might be.

    If you lift one front wheel off the ground, does it spin freely? Does the front drive shaft rotate when you spin the wheel?

    I can't make it happen at full lock, I have to be a few degrees before that.

    How the heck do I do that? Do you mean if I lift the front and try spinning the wheel by hand? Or did you mean put it all up on blocks? I'm not educated enough on how to remove the driveline, otherwise I'd see if it went forward with the selector on 2WD.

    I only have a hi lift at the moment and there's nothing creative around to use as jack stands. I absolutely hate apartment life.

    Yeah,I was thinking a floor jack under one of the lower A arms to lift the tire off the ground, then spin the wheel. Maybe the stock bottle jack instead, strategically placed?

    If the front diff is still engaged, that front wheel will not spin freely.
