As far as I know you, can. You may want to wait until somebody with a little more knowledge about backspacing posts on here though.

The 98's will likely hit the brake caliper. Most steel wheels in 16" do.

The 8069's have 4.0" backspacing. Some folks have reported rubbing issues from the wheels sticking out to far (rub on the outer edge of the tire) with 4.0 backspacing, but some have no issue at all.

Hmmm. What is the difference between the 98's and the steel wheel that wheelers off road sells for the tacoma's? I really want to get those since they are guaranteed to fit, but they supposedly dont have any and dont know when they will get them again.

I'm not positive of the differences but I know that I've read that folks had to shave their calipers to fit the 98's, and you don't with the Wheelers (which are also made by procomp oddly enough)

Man. Why is it so hard to find wheels that wont rub and wont stick out so far but will still allow me to run stock tire sizes?

If you have the time and money they will fit. I've got 9'' and can barely fit my 37's. But I make it work.

I don't want to spend alot of money or waste alot of time having to mod other parts of my truck to make wheels/tires fit. But I'm not a huge fan of the factory ones. I may bite the bullet and buy some of the FJ wheels off egay .
