    I also have a F-150 Super Crew with a 5.4 V8 and tow package....FYI that's way bigger than your '96 Access cab Toyota. :p

And you can think what you want, but physics don't lie.

And no, you aren't saving the most fuel driving 75-80, unless you never have tried less than that. You will get much better driving 60 vs 80.

To be honest, if there was a point in there I couldn't find it among all the poor spelling.

It's difficult to assign any value to an engineering lecture that a decently-educated middle school kid could have written more effectively.

Ok sorry about the spelling.Lol I see the trolls are starting to come out.I am not going to argue. My toyota got better gas millage on the freeway at about 75-80 vs 65.This was its cruising speed.(rpm about 2500?).My yota had a lift, oversized tires(mickys belted baja 32x1250),4 inch full travel lift, and an aftermarket supercharger.A 4 banger Im sure 60-65 is its cruising speed any thing more is pushing it.

As for the science mechanic thats thinks he knows everything.Or thinks I am selling something(but any way).Even on an eficient fuel injection direct jet or what not the air fuel mixture is mixed before entering the combustion chamber. The fuel jet is closer to the intake valve on each cylander on these newer motors.Like I said this kit was pute on at the dealership. It is just something that place does to sepperate them from other dealers. They do that so you buy from them rather than another dealer.I would half to dig out my paper work on the vehicle to see what it was.(I never took it apart or examined it).Its listed on the add ons in the paper work along with the price. No I did not pay for the add on.(you problubly get suckered into paying for your floor mats right)But any way it was on a Nissan titan 5.6 leater v8 quad cab 4x4 buddy(governers were programed out my top speed was 140 with a little flat spot from 95-105 driving from cali to salt lake).Eats more gas than your ford f 150.I know my brother has an f150 quad cab all fixed up and rolling on 24s,cat back, intake, billet hop ups(its sick)And both my Titans eat more gas than his and smoke him as far as power(hints nissan titan is in the lead in off road racing.Im not an idiot im 35 years old and been working on cars since I was 15 been there done that its a hobby.Only on this sight looking into a new yota quad v-6 4x4 there damn good trucks.

I had a v-6 this speed seemed to be the sweet spot at about 2500 rpm.My foots just bearly on the peddle. On a 4 cyl.I can see 60-65.75-80 your pushing the 4 cyl.and rpms are more than likely up to about 27-3000rpm.

You should have spent more time in school when you were 15. I didn't even highlight the majority of the grammatical errors.

well first of all. standard or auto? its a lot easier to "hypermile" when using a standard transmission. obviously don't beat on it and you should keep a pretty good fuel economy. I avg. about between 21 and 23 mpg in mostly city driving. just keep that lead foot in check and keep your tires pumped up and its easy to get mid 20's no matter the tranny.

Just finished my 2nd tank of 87 Octane on my new Tacoma and managed to get 22.7 mpg. First time since 1968 I bought a new truck that was NOT
a GM truck. Luv is so far.

i have a 2009 taco with flo master split duals and a k&n hi flow filter my last was 27 miles to the gallon i tried the tailgate down up and i even took of the tailgate and put a net didn't notice much difference was:confused:s going to put a six speed to replace the five speed but its hard to find one right now thought about the diesel conversion by diesel toys but thats a little too rich in the pocket book at $18,000 i feel this thing could be getting 30 mpg but i haven't found any other choices i guess when the stock engine goes i'l change it with something else

Can't see how you'd make that stock engine go, stick with it, 30mpg taint no big thing.

Any bed cover recommendation that can lock as well? The only 1 that catches my eye is the bak flip G2 but it doesn't lock.
