I have 2011 tacoma access cab 4x4 4CYL. I had a Readylift kit put on. Was wondering if 285 would rub bad or to go with 265???? The readylift kit i put on is spacer in front with diff drop and 1" blocks in rear. Will probably go with goodyear durtatrac tires. ANY HELP would be appreciated!!!!

get rid of that lift and get some bilstein 5100's front and rear...285's look way better and are better off road but you will need to do some triming and if you use ur stock wheels you will need spacers....welcome to the forums and do some reading buddy...evey single question you can have has already been talked about....

I am a 4 banger too, I have ran 265 75 16 on stockers and no rub, went to 285 70 17, had to do major trimming, can mount chop, pinch weld mod...I have 3" lift etc..like I said u will lose noticeable power.

Do a search for unlifted with tires, 1 inch lift wit tires and 2 inch lift with tires. Benefits and drawbacks to all.

What are you trying to accomplish? Off road superstar or mall crwling for hoochies? I see in your in North carolina....so any beach or sand crusing?

I'm no expert, but going bigger than one size on stock setup will cause issues with backspacing (so spacers or new rims). 285's are taller, but wider and require modifications besides a simple lift

    Yes sir
Seems to be different on each rig, I just removed my mud flaps and have a 1/4" wheel spacer until I get new rims. My lift is 3 inches as well and I'm not rubbing at all with my 285/70/R17's.

265/75/16 is what you should run if you don't want to deal with trimming issue's.

285's and you'll definitely need to regear.
