Tacoma trim packages

Looking to buy a used 2005-08 Tacoma Access cab and having a difficult time figuring out exactly what comes with a given trim package. The TRD includes tow package and skid plates but what else? Toyota.com is not specific.

Looking for a trim package that includes pwr mirrors, intermittent wipers, cruise control, and lumbar support. These all seem to be optional features not included in any trim package.

Any thoughts?

Thank you. I had seen that list. PWR windows, mirrors and intermittent wipers are listed as available as part of an option package but the package is not specified. Think it would be much easier to locate a used Tacoma with the features needed if Toyota would specify what is included in each package. I know, I am too logical.

SR5 should be the minimum package you are looking for given the list you specified. The base package does not include those, the SR5 does, and the TRD packages are just additional options on top of the SR5. BTW the tow package was not included in the base, SR5 or TRD packages, it was a seperate option by itself.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. It only lists the 2012 models but most likely applies to the 2005-08 models as well.

Read here on another posting that the TRD trim is only added to the SR5 trim package. In other word, you can not get the TRD trim package without the SR5 trim package. Is this true for the 2005-08 models?

 

Except in 2008 or earlier there was no A-TRAC on a Tacoma... He seeks a 2005-2008.

So, the main difference between an OFF ROAD TRD and a SPORT TRD is the LOCKING REAR DIFFERENTIAL (available only in the Off Road TRD). The Sports had a limited slip differential from 2005-2008.

OK, so LSD is limited slip differential and DAC & HAC are up & down hill control. What is ALSD, ATRAC and VSC?

ALSD = Auto Limit Slip Diff which means the rear brakes are used in conjunction with an open differential to simulate limited slip in lieu of a mechanical limited slip rear end. For 2005 - 2008, you will not have ALSD on any Tacoma you look at.

ATRAC = Active Traction Control, not available on 2005 - 2008. Check out the link below if you want to know more about it

VSC = Vehicle Stability Control, again, not available 2005 - 2008, read up below.

I don't know about the 1st Gens but from 2005 and newer, if it's a TRD, it includes the SR5 trim package.
