Does anyone know of any Black steel wheels that fit a 98 tacoma. I heard no aftermarket steel wheels fit the 98 + because of the flared brake caliper?

I have Pro Comp 15x8 black steel rims and don't have any problems

Edit: I got mine at 4 wheel parts on Menual. I went in for a matching spare rim and tire but I was told that 15's wouldn't fit but I showed em my truck and proved them wrong.

I got procomp 52 series 16x8 on my 04' and they fit just fine...4wp told me right away that they won't fit..so I test fit it in front of their face, and bam! they fit! however, I have heard that on some tacomas the brake caliper may be either a different size or a different shape and that may cause issues...

i'll be getting the procomp 98s in about a month, but I'll be running wheel spacers so they'll clear the caliper just fine. Wheelers also sells 1/4" wheel spacers for $5 that should allow you to clear the caliper with any of the black steel after market rims.

1/4" spacers are worse than 1.25" spacers. Add a 1/4 spacer to an already short stud leaves your wheels attached with ~ 4 threads from your lug nuts.

Spacers are just bad in general.

98s or soft 8s have not fit on first gen tacomas without wheel spacers for years... if you search soft 8 wheels on any of the older existing tacoma forums, you will see the issues with the brake vein of the caliper not clearing the dimple dies of the holes in the wheel...

the other styles of steels like D windows have been fine...
