Figured I'd throw in a picture as well. A buddy of mine just got himself this 4wheeler off a guy that use to race.

Can-am 800R and got Gorilla axles underneath it. Bad-ass and haul balls 4wheeler. Look at all that armor underneath too!

Hell yeah I love that lens. That's why I got upset I reckon, cause he didn't ask what it was or anything just looked at it and started bashing.

When people do that, it just shows their ignorance. Hardly worth worrying about.

I agree with you on this

Sports photographers can be douches at time, (we were talking about this at my last meeting). Some don't follow some simple courtesies (like not blocking you way or shooting parallel to you). Also a photographer shouldn't come up to you and say "What are your settings? IMO it makes them look like an rookie. Just because you have a fancy camera doesn't make you god of all photographer.

on a side note, I'm doing my first sports assignment this weekend. I'm shooting our school's mens soccer game.

i probably would have been pissed too...it kinda seemed like he was trying to show off his gear even though he was using a kit lens.
x2 on that^ he must be worried that your gonna get a better photo even though you dont have a full frame with L series glass haha

I mean that's exactly what I thought, cause I knew the name on his shirt and the company he shot for. They probably handed him the camera and said here go shoot this game.

I know what you mean, I know several that are just straight up dicks. Last year when I first got into it, I had a photographer look at me and say, that lens isn't good enough, it's too slow. At the time I had no clue what he meant but I was like what a pecker head! But looking back on it he was just being honest. He helped me along the way too so it was all good. Sports can be a lot of fun. Especially if you can find a school that has a lot of parents that a nuts about having pictures of their sons or daughters and they'll buy a bunch, unfortunately I haven't found that yet.

Yeah seriously. He looked at my camera too, which right now is just a Rebel XS which is about to be upgraded to a 50D. But he looked at me all snarky like and was like oh a Canon, and then held his out and was like Im shooting with a D700, it's an awesome camera, and I looked at him and said, "I bet it is" and then kept shooting haha.

when my walk-around 28-135 got dropped and broke, I replaced it with a 28-105. Although i'm not assss pleased with it, for less than half the price I am more than happy with it for a walk-around.

BUT my point: now that I walk around with a smaller sized lens (sometimes my 1.8 50mm prime *fkn love itttt*) I love the haughty looks ill get from less knowledgeable photographers...

like i've always said, size isn't everything... not that I have an trouble there ;)

The guy that founded Photojojo is a pretty good guy. He's had a bit of a setback lately and is in the hospital waiting on a bone marrow transplant.

Okay, I'll play. These were all taken this last week while on my hunting trip. These are the ones I think turned out great for a point and shoot.

i got mine on ebay to save a few bucks...

different manufacturer than photojojo, and it's been great for me so far and i have been using it for a few months now...

i made sure to get the one with the metal inside... i know someone who got the all plastic one and it doesn't quite stay as warm as long as the metal mug...

plus i got the one with the coffee sipper cap, not the flat lens cap...

didn't want to have to keep taking the lid off just to take a sip when im cruising in the truck...

    yah, thanks!

so far, no good news... kidney is still not functioning right and docs suspect that dialysis is in my future, but good news is that so far, i have lost 30 pounds...

just have another 30 to go but docs want me to make it a gradual loss vs. trying to starve myself or do anything extreme...

Here are a few pix I took yesterday, I need to keep working on the long exposure one while driving. The new tires will def. help smooth it out.
