I ordered some nerf bars but they were about 4in too short when i installed it. I called Westin and verified that i have the correct part number. He also verify that it is suppose to be 75in long for double cab, which is correct.

22-0025 is the part number for the black oval ones.

Westin rep told also mention they sell 85in nerf bars. Maybe i can just get this and make it 'Wheel to Wheel' nerf bars? :)

To those that already have their nerf bars installed, how long is your nerf bars for double cab?

Ahhhh... I see. Looks like something where you SLIDE off when you get stuck off roading. Now i know why they're called sliders. Cool. Something I'll look more into and take into consideration. Thanks!

agreed....spending money on a product that works as a step AND protection from rocks and car doors....smart

spending money on a product that sits way too close to actually be used as a step AND offers absolutely no protection of a vehicle....ignorant.

i had a set of westin tube steps on my 07 before i got my sliders and those westins were completely worthless

Stupid question alert!...Are you sure you didn't switch the left and right? If you try to put the driver's side step on the passenger's side it would come up as too short. Just a suggestion, not trying to make anyone look dumb. It would be an honest mistake.:anonymous:

Not if your truck is all black with now chrome, like mine. It will be silly to get stainless in my shoes.

I don't think i'll be doing any wheeling. But as for the car door protection, wouldn't the nerf bar do the same? They are sticking out to protect the car door.
Besides the actual step and protection, would you think the sliders LOOKS better then nerf bars?

How was the Westin worthless? didn't you step on it? and didn't it protect you from door dings?

no and no. it say entirely too close to the rocker panels. may as well raise the foot that extra 2" and put it in the door. and as for the dings, no. i still got door dings on the 07 from cars. only ding i've got w/ sliders has been when i rocked my door into a rock about 12" from the bottom of the door
