Foglights are for fog, not oncoming traffic!

You should lift it up about 4 feet and put on some tractor tires. That was in even of an accident they will only hit your tires. Much safer

I suppose you could fill the tires with lead shot like some rock crawlers do...

And if it gets into crash with a semi, the increased height might improve survival chances.

To be all politically correct... You can only speculate unless someone wants to take several identical lifted trucks to run through the Federal DOT crash tests.

If you look at the crash tests on the IIHS website, each scenario tests worst case and generalizes point of impact. Also, those crash tests are the most common geometric scenarios found in reported crashes.

Now, my opinion, you're raising the cabin, therefore any penetration INTO the cabin will be less from a stock height CAR hitting you, so I'd assume safer from a fatality standpoint in that scenario (doesn't include impact from another truck or tractor trailer). You're not changing the structural rigidity of the chassis and body, so impact absortion at the "same geometry angles" as those DOT tested will remain the same. This doesn't necessarily mean less injury, because there are too many variables.

More dangerous from rollovers yes. Safer for you in a standard two car collision yes. Make sure it falls within your states laws. If it sits higher then state law and in a safer for you, but more injurious or deadly to the other vehicle, that will add to your liability.
