How are payments being taken and when will they be due? Also how long will this group buy be going? I am currently deployed hence the questions.

Lightforces aren't that much better than these especially in the halogen form. Theyre also made with a plastic housing which I think is odd for an expensive ass light, and value wise, getting two HID lighthouses you could probably get 8 of these Kragens.

This group buy is the shit, I just need to convince myself to hop on. Which I'm sure I'll end up doing in a couple days.

I agree they're nice, and probably my dream light, but I think they're overhyped. Personal opinion.

Anyways back to the group buy! And fuck it, Eric, put me down for 3 7 inchers.

Also, any way your supplier has access to 55w? maybe have that as a +15$ option?

I didnt think there was either but I did some scouting on eBay and found some people selling some. They might just be saying they're 55 watt.. who knows.

But what I was thinking is if Eric's supplier has access to all of these lights maybe he has the access to 55watt balasts for cheap. If nt I'll probably just throw some DDMs in there.

Thatd be awesome if you could. Since I know you can fit a slim inside the back of a Hella 4000 hopefully there is enough room in these. Worse comes to worse I could just mount it externally.

i will be taking payments through paypal, but if you cant pay through paypal, pm me and we will work something out. and that is not completely set in stone yet, pretty sure for like 2 weeks so we can get the lowest price bracket on both lights.

    thanks for your service!

they are plastic!? wow for like 500 bucks you would think it would be gold plated lol.

thanks for all of the pictures you have gave me pat!

    gotcha!

    kragen doesnt have 55w:( unfortunatly....

    your right!

hmm, well it already has a internal ballast so would you be able to make the ddm one internal too?

i think 3 7" will look good, 4 4 inch ones would look good too.
    added

    just let me know!:)

Having had off road lights for many years... a Cibie Super Oscar, KC Long Rangers, Hella 4000s... and I can say that these Kragen HIDs are the brightest/ whitest light output of any of them. 35 watts of HID gives more light than a halogen using 130 or more watts, and it is whiter.

The only weakness is in the plastic body if you do the kind of fast desert off roading I do, and if your light mount allows any vibration then cracks can form in the Kragens. If your mounting location is solid, this may not be a problem. Josh fixed my cracked Kragens with fiberglass and I have them on my light bar with my Hellas. We made a mod. to the Tacoma so the bar doesn't vibrate.
