north - I just had my t-case and crawl box out. when it was out i decided to add some self adhesive roof flashing to the holes to protect/water proof the cuts. I also decided to do a little bit of the tunnel also.

I recommend it as it cut down on the road and gear noise sneaking through the cut outs a lot - my truck interior noise went down at least 50-75%.

Best part was it was only $15 at Lowes :)

Youll also see some detail of the area you need to pound with a hammer to get the end of the t-case to clear (its the two dimples on the right of the picture)

Thank you, I see Bucks County as your location I have family around Westchester, Chaddsford and Wilmington.

Thanks Kevin, I got your message about the skids just let me know when those are ready to go. Thanks for taking care of Jlinks questions.

I know only problem is I'm back out on another fire looks like I won't be home till mid October at this point unless it starts raining or snowing.

Thanks, looks like Kevin got you taken care of so when you getting a FJ case??:D

My truck is almost EMO, only thing is I seem to do all the cutting since it can't cut itself:D

Still on my stock clutch almost 84K at this point on it.

Thanks for the pic and sharing the idea on the roof flashing I will be going that route for sure. I have not had a chance to do anything with the Flares I had been working on as it seems fire season has no end in sight at this point. When it does end I will get back to work on all the projects that are stacking up.

I am thinking these may be my next tires I plan on looking at them if the guy still has them when I get home and is willing to deal. Does anybody have any experience/opinions on the TSL radial swampers? I think I can make them work they are 36x12.5r16's based on the test fitting I did with Q78 I have mounted up. Not sure if folks are familiar with KSL.com but its pretty local to me and I have run across some sweet deals on it.

I made it home and am looking forward to getting started on the Tacobox install here are some better pics that I snapped of it a last week. This thing is killer looking I can't wait to see what compound low is like.

I also installed a synthetic winch line on the truck from Dominion off-road last week when I was home for days off. I don't think I will ever run cable again with how easy this thing is spool up and handle. Dominions winch lines are very reasonably priced and seem to be very high quality. I went with 3/8" in a 75 foot length so I lost 25 feet as compared to the steel line I was running but the trade off seems worth it with less weight and the added safety of the synthetic line.

how does that guide work for the rope? does the rope somehow spread out along the roller when you winch it in? how does it stay in the roller?

I didn't think to mention the isolator, it is from Daystar and meant to isolate the hook from the rollers the tension on the hook holds it in place when you pull the clevis off it comes off.

I managed to slice open 2 tires this weekend. Duratracs, 265 70 17. I was aired down and crawling in 4lo, low gear. Idk what happened.

Have you had any problems slicing sidewalls? How are your MTR's holding up? They are the ones with kevlar right?

That sucks, I have had great luck with the MTR's my sidewalls have rockrash, scuffing etc. but not much beyond that. I have a buddy that is running E range Duratracs in a 285/75r16 and has not run into any issues with his aired down on the same trails as me although his sidewalls look be way softer than mine. If you end up looking at new tires I would say the MTR's would be a good choice with the way you are eating sidewalls.

If you needed a cheap set to get by on and were closer I found these the other day. Seemed like a pretty killer deal for someone who wants 35's.

Nice, you'll dig the FJ case. RST has the best info for the install Wyatt has put together some awesome write ups and Kevin has covered all the electronics in his write ups. The swap is really straight forward if you run into any issue with it let me know what I can do to help.

I should have had you pick up some stuff off of KSL for me. I'm headed down Tuesday to get it so thanks for nothing:D.

My plan on heading up to Boulder City was to make it to the lake before its snowed out I still haven't been to the lake yet and it looks like it won't happen till next summer. It ended up being a soggy wet snowday at elevation and a constant drizzle at the lower elevations.

As you can see it was wet today...and a little steep and slick.

After we made it to a turnaround spot, spooling everything back up and getting it put away to head off the hill. I will say the Dominion winchline I picked up is the poop I can't say enough good things about it.

It was a pretty good day to be out a little wet and snowy but it was fun to drive the truck after being so busy for the last few months. I plan to start my crawler install late next week and will update as I get going on it.

Most days I wish I never met you. Because then I could sleep at night, and I didn’t have to walk around with the knowledge that there was someone like you out there…

Okay so I stole that line from Good Will Hunting LOL.

Awesome build and this truck just keeps on getting better. Man this thread keeps me up at night.

Looking great nOrth. As I have said before one of, if not my favorite truck on here.

So I found an add on KSL for some 36x12.5 Radial TSL's, well I picked them up yesterday after some wheeling and dealing. This afternoon we mounted one for a test fit . I had to pull my spidertrax spacer on the front to get it to clear the body mount it will rub at compression but it looks to be a simple fix and I will put the spacers back on the front of the truck. I will be cutting on the truck when I install the Tacobox and will do some more cutting and boxing on the bodymount but I was comfortable enough with it to mount the other 3 up and put them on the truck. I like how skinny and tall these tires are and had originally looked at these when I went with the MTR's last year which have around 40K on them and are 30 to 40 percent tread left. The truck feels better with the TSL's power wise although I have not had it above 55 mph yet, just drove it around town they are noisier but pretty smooth on the road.
